Peabody's Chris Markwicka (7) drops to a knee on the grounder fields it and fires to first for the out. After three weeks off because of ran outs the Peabody Padres would get back in action against Meron Expos in doubleheader action in Saranac. The Expos would take the 1-0 lead right off in the first. The Padres would tie the game up in the third on an RBI single by Eric Bell. The Padres would take the lead in the fourth on Shane Perrotte's 2 RBI single to make it 3-1. The Padres would extend the lead to 4-1 on Kalob Drollette RBI base hit in the 5th inning. In the sixth, the Expos would erase the lead by getting three runs and tie the game at 4. Then the Expos would win it in the seventh with one run to get the 5-4 win. In the lose Matt Rivers would go the distance striking out six while giving up 8 hits. As the teams would return for game two the Expos would get one in first while the Padres would get two for the 2-1 lead. After that, it would be all Expos as they would score nine unanswered runs for the 11-2 victory giving the Expos the sweep on the day. With the sweep, the Expos go to 7-5 while the Padres fall to 5-8. Gallery

Peabody's Shane Perrotte (2) slides in safe at the third base under the tag of Billy Davis (11) on a fly ball tag up. After three weeks off because of ran outs the Peabody Padres would get back in action against Meron Expos in doubleheader action in Saranac. The Expos would take the 1-0 lead right off in the first. Adams would take the early 1-0 lead in the first on a passed ball. Adams would extend the lead to 2-0 on a base hit in the second. That is where the score would remain until the fourth when Malone would get a run to make it 2-1. Then in the fifth inning, the Malone would take the lead and pull ahead with a six-run inning thanks in part to a three-run homer by Alex Johnson to make it 7-2. Adam's would try and get back into in the sixth as they would cut the lead in half by getting two to make it 7-4. Malone would get one at the bottom of the inning to secure the 8-4 win. With the win, Malone Post 219 goes to 2-0 on the season. Gallery

The Peabody Padres would host the Plattsburgh Cardinals in Saranac during week five the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The first game would be great pitchers duel at the Padres would get 1-0 win. The Padres would get a there lone run in the fourth inning on an RBI single from Zack Myers. In the winning effort Matt Rivers would pitch the complete-game shutout giving up just five hits while striking out four. For the lack of runs in game one game, two would make up for it. The Padres would take the 1-0 lead in first on Mark Eggleston RBI double. The Cardinals would take the lead in the second with two runs to make it 2-1. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 4-1 in the fifth to runs. The Cardinals would at two more in the top of the 5th to make it 6-1 before the Padres would start to answer back with three runs on RBI singles from Andrew Petro and Matt Rivers to make it 6-4. Although the Cardinals would answer back in the seventh with four runs to make it 10-4. At the bottom of the inning, the Cardinals would do there best to get back in but fall short as Mark Eggleston would have an RBI double and Matt Hart RBI single to end the game at 10-6 Cardinals. So with the two teams splitting the doubleheader, the Padres go to 3-5 while the Cardinals go to 5-5. Gallery

Beekmantown's Austin Bradish(12) makes contact on the heater and sends it to the outfield for a base hit. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Schlamont Sabres in the opening round of the New York State Class B Playoffs. The game would be pitching duel through the first four innings with only four hits combined by the teams. The Eagles would actually strike first to take a 1-0 lead. Then at the top of the 5th, the Sabres bats would come alive and the Eagles defense would fall to execute some plays and the Sabres would strike for 6 runs and have a 6-1 lead. The Eagles would try there best to get back in the game in the bottom of the inning as they would score two to make it 6-3. Then in the seventh inning, the Sabres would put the final touches of the game as they would score four more runs and secure the 10-3 victory. With the defeat, the Eagles season would come to an end as they finish the season with a record of 18-4. Gallery

The Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians would face off for the Section VII Class B title at Chip Cummings Field for the right to go the state playoffs. The Indians would take the 1-0 lead in first to get everything started. The Indians would extend it to 3-0 in third. Then in the bottom of the third, the Eagles would get right back in the game and tie it at three with three runs of there own. The Indians would regain the lead at 4-3 in the fifth. Although the relentless Eagles would tie it back up in the 6th to make it 4-4. Then the big drama would come in the bottom of the seventh when Zack Myers would get the game-winning walk-off single that would score Brandon Rabideau to give the Eagles the 5-4 win and Section VII Title. Getting the win on the mound for the Eagles would be Brandon Rabideau. With the win, the Beekmantown Eagles now head to state play where they play Schalmont on June 3rd at Chip Cummings Field. The Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians would face off for the Section VII Class B title at Chip Cummings Field for the right to go the state playoffs.
