Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 8: Ticonderoga Sentinels @ Plattsburgh Hornets October 24th 2025

Plattsburgh's (0) with the catch and fighting for the extra yards along the sidelines as they get the first down. It would be the last game of the regular season in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels in their return to 11-man football. It would only take the home Hornets 1:44 to get the opening score of the game, when George Dejesus broke it for 16 yards, giving them the 6-0 lead. Then at the 8:36 mark of the first quarter, the Hornets would extend their lead to 14-0 on Ryan Colburn's one-handed grab for the score, and that's how the first quarter would end. In the second quarter, the Hornets would stay on the pedal, and at the 2:46 mark of the quarter, they would extend their lead to 21-0 on the 38-yard strike to Will Boire. Then at the 7:49 Hotnets Ryan Colburne would get his second score of the half this time with a 225-yard run and make it 28-0 game, and that's where the first half would end. When the teams returned for the second half, the Sentinels came out and had the defense at the top of its game, holding the Hornets scoreless, and the game was still 28-0 after the third quarter. Although in the fourth quarter the Hornets' offense would explode for three touchdowns —two from Jahvari Anderson and one from Tyler Durney —as the Hornets secured the 49-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Hornets go into the playoffs on a two-game winning streak at 2-6 and will play the Saranac Spartans in the Section VII Class C Semifinals. Section VII Boy's Basketball Class C Championship: #1 Moriah Vikings Vs #3 Ticonderoga Sentinels March 1st 2025

Moriah's Joe Pelkey (11) throws it off the window on the lay-up attempt as part of a 16-point night. It would be the fourth game of the day from the Clinton Community College gym on the second day of championship weekend, and it would see the #1 Moriah Vikings and the #3 Ticonderog Setinels in the classic rivalry for the Class C Championship. It would be a high-scoring game to start the first eight minutes as the Vikings would race out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Vikings would start to take control of the game with a 16-8 quarter and take the 34-18 lead into the intermission. When the teams would return for the third quarter, the high pace of the game would continue as the Vikings would win the quarter at 18-13 and take the 52-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Vikings would keep control and put the icing on the game with a 16-7 quarter to secure the 68-38 victory. In the winning effort for the Moriah Vikings, they punched their return ticket to the New York State Class C Tournament as Cooper Allen led the team with 27 points, and they went to 16-5 in the season. #1 Moriah Vikings Vs #3 Ticonderoga Sentinels March 1st 2025
The Moriah Vikings are crowned the 2024-25 Section VII Class C Boys' Basketball champions with a 68-38 victory over the Ticonderoga Sentinels. It would be the second game of the opening day of Section VII Basketball championship weekend; It would see a battle between the top 2 seeds in Class C Girls Basketball as we would have the #1 Moriah Vikings and the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels. The upset-minded Sentinels would have the lead early by the slim 10-9 margin after the first quarter. When the second quarter came around, the Vikings would go on a run, have a 13-2 quarter, and take the 22-15 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Vikings would keep their hor roll going as they double up the Sentinels with an 11-6 quarter and take the 33-21 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Sentinels would do their best to try and get back in the game with a 16-12 quarter, but it would not be enough as the Vikings would get the 45-37 victory. In the winning effort for the Moriah Vikings, Emily Nephew would lead the way with 11 points as they go to 17-4 on the season and advance to the New York State Class C Girls' Basketball Tournament. #1 Moriah Vikings Vs #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels February 28th 2025

Section VII Class C Girl's Soccer Championship: #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels Vs. #1 Moriah Vikings November 2nd 2024

The Moriah Vikings celebrate as they get the game-winning goal in overtime against the Ticonderoga Sentinels. It would be the Section vii Class C Girl's Soccer championship. The #1 Moriah Vikings take on the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the right to enter the New York State tournament and take on the winner of Section X on November 6th. Both teams would have their chances throughout the match, including a goal by the Vikings that called back on a handball, and the scoreless match would continue. The regular 80th minutes would not be good today as they would head to overtime. In the 97th minute, the Vikings would finally get the first and only goal of the game from Alexis Mascarenas to secure their spot in the state tournament with their undefeated season at 17-0. They will take on #8 Lisbon Knights in the tournament's opening round. Gallery

Ticonderoga's (3) with the chip over Seton Catholic's and was off to the races to the net. It would be an early-season matchup in Section VII Girl's Soccer. We would have an interconference affair from St. Peter's in Plattsburgh as the Seton Catholic Knights would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels in action. The Sentinels would start hot and have the 4-0 lead after the first half of play. When the teams returned for the second half it would be more of the same for the Sentinels as they would add another six goals and cruise to the 10-0 victory. In the victory for the Sentinels, they would have three players that would have multi-goal games as they would even up their record at 1-1 while the Knights would start their season at 0-1. Gallery
