Stafford Ice Arena, as the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Plattsburgh Hornets, with around 1,000 fans in attendance, all there for a good cause and hockey. The Eagles would waste little time in getting the opening goal of the game. Pryce Parker would knock a rebound past Plattsburgh's Owen Chapple for the 1-0 Eagles lead. The game would stay there all the way to the 3:13 mark of the 2nd period when Sam Bezio for the Hornets would beat Jack Bell and tie the game at one. From there, the teams would go back and forth for the next two periods, with both teams having their chance to score the go-ahead goal. Still, they couldn't get it online. The game would end in overtime, and in that overtime, Beekmantown's Pryce Parker would beat Plattsburgh's Owen Chapple with a goal on the short side as there were just five seconds on the clock. In the Eagles' effort, Jack Bell made 25 saves as they improved to 6-6-1 on the season, heading to Champlain on Tuesday to take on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. Then at the 2:22 mark of the third period, the Eagles would retake the lead at 2-1 on the Edward Sweenor goal. Then, just 2:05 later, the Eagles would extend their lead to 3-1 when Mason Carter would add the power-play goal. Then, with just 1:52 left in the game, the Eagles would put the final touches on the game when Edward Sweenor would add his second of the game. In the Eagles' inning effort, Jack Bell would have 19 ss, and they go to 5-6-1 on the season. As for the Spartans, Teegan Vanvalkenburg would make 49 saves as they fall to 4-8 on the season. It would be a return to Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action, as we are in the last month of the season, and teams are starting to make that playoff push. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host crosstown rival Beekmantown Eagles in girls' basketball action. The game started well for the home Hornets, who jumped out to a 12-2 lead after the first quarter. The Hornets would keep their foot on the gas in the second quarter as they would have aa19-2 quarter behind some great defense and take the 31-4 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter, the Eagles would find their offense and play with the Hornets, scoring 12 points, but the game was still 42-16 as they entered the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles would again stay with the Hornets, 13-10, but the deficit would be too much, as the Hornets held on for the 52-29 victory. In the winning effort,t the Hornets would go to 7-4 on the season while the Eagles would fall to 4-3. Gallery

It would be a return to Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action, as we are in the last month of the season, and teams are starting to make that playoff push. The game would remain scoreless until the final two seconds of the opening period, when Sullivan Loughan would light the lamp and make it a 1-0 game. The game would stay there until the 8:26 mark of the second period, when Jacoby Weeden would score on the power play and make it 2-0 Eagles. The Cougars kept coming and cut the deficit in half at 2-1 on the Josh Seymour goal with 1:41 left in the period. The Eagles would come out flying in the third, and they would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 on the Ivan Roy goal at the 3:44 mark of the third. The Cougars would come back and make it a one-goal game again at the 8:12 mark of the period on the Scott Wyre goal. The Eagles would have one more answer and make it a two-goal game again at 4-2 on the Edward Sweenor goal at the 13:28 mark of the third. From there, the Eagles' defense would stand tall and get the 4-2 win, and in the winning effort, Jack Bell would have 23 saves on the night and arecordhis 1,000th career save as they go to 3-4-1. The game would start well for the Eagles, as they would outscore the Wolves in the first quarter,0-0. In the second quarter, the Wolves started to warm up and held their own, trailing 13-8, and had a 33-8 lead at the break. When the teams return for the third quarter, it would be a close defensive quarter, as the Eagles would win 9-6 and take a 42-14 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Wolves would do their best to keep it close, as the Eagles led 14-13 and went on to secure the 56-27 victory. In the Eagles' effort, Garrett Pelkey wledthe way with 19 points as they gwent1-1 at the tournament and finished third.
