Bill Dean slips and slides down the track during the 2.6 Cheater Street Legal Trucks as the rain would turn the track into a mud pit. The annual truck and tractor pull at the Franklin County in Malone was scheduled for 32 classes would be cut short about halfway through as the rain would start coming and there was no let-up and the track was a complete wash. Nothing like a triple hit in the center of the track to get the first hear underway between the Jary Marshall (99) and Jamie Dustin (00) and Chris Moscow(53). The on the other side the Corey Marshall (39) smacks in the back quarter panel of the Tom Baubiltz (33). It was the annual return of the smack'em up, bang'em up, crash'em up do it all over again as the demolition derby made its return. There be around 90 cars spread out over seven heats. Gallery

Lyon Mountain Miners Vs Plattsburgh Cardinals August 7th 2011

Plattsburgh Cardinals (21) slides in safe on the stolen base as the ball would skip passing Lyon Mountain Miner's shortstop. The Cardinals would jump out to an early 5-0 lead after the first two innings that they would never give up. They would get one in the first inning and then put up a four-spot in the second inning. The Miners would chip away at the lead by getting two in the third and fourth inning. The score would remain that until the seventh when the Cardinals would get an insurance run on a sacrifice fly to take the lead 6-4. The Cardinals would hold that lead for the rest of the game and take game 1 of the best of three series. They will look to close out the championship next weekend at Bailey Avenue. Gallery

Plattsburgh North Stars Kevin Gibson (53) with the high shoulder tackle on the right side that brings down the Green Jacket wide receiver right in his tracks. The Plattsburgh North Stars would get the convincing victory over a long time rival the Glenns Falls Green Jackets with a 22-0 win and also win back the Mayor's Cup. The North Stars would strike for two quick touchdowns in the first quarter and take a 14-0 lead on a Trevor St. Clair and Zack Blocker scores. The score would remain that until midway through the fourth quarter when Eilsa Park would punch a touchdown on the goal line and convert a two-pointer on a bad snap of the extra point. Gallery

Aaron Scalzo with this Chevy puts on a great run during the 8,500lb Street Truck class and the crows were cheering with the sight of the black smoke. Pat Silver and the Ma and Pa's Headache came out of a 10-year retirement and returned with authority as it would win the 6,200lb 4x4 Pro Stock A class on the first run out of the box. The annual stop for the Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers at the Clinton County would see around a 100 entries divided up into 19 classes battle it out on the track in front of a packed crowd until the late hours of the evening. Jonathan Myers in his 2008 Chevy leaves the dust flying as he eats up the competition during the 8,500lb & 10,500lb Street Legal Truck classes. It was the annual return of the Street Legal Truck Pull to Clinton County. There would be a great competition between the seven different classes with around 50 entries and a couple of classes that would be settle by under five feet. Gallery

Kevin Dineen and his Allis-Chalmers D21 carry the front right down the far side of the track to a roaring crowd for the win the 9,500lb Farm Stock Tractors class. The annual truck and tractor pull to return to the Hopkinton Fire Department in Hopkinton. This pull just seems to keep getting bigger year after year. There would be around 50 competitors divided up in 14 classes that would take to the hard clay track that would take all the horsepower you could throw at it. There would be only a few minor breakdowns throughout the day. Gallery

Scott Pickering in Scotty's Toy from North Bangor, NY with the wheel standing run to win the 11,000lb Altered Stock Tractors class. It was the start of the 2011 Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers season at the Hopkinton Fire Department in Hopkinton, NY. There would be around 40 entries in the 12 different classes to get the season underway in good fashion. Gallery
