Super Dirtcar Series Malta Massive - Albany Saratoga Speedway - September 21st 2019

Dave Richner (318) on the high side looking for away around Derrick McGrew as they battle for the win. It would be the third day of a three day weekend of racing at Albany Saratoga Speedway for the Malta Massive Weekend. On tap for the last day of racing would be the Super Dirtcar Series, Dirtcar Pro Stock Series and the Limited Sportsman Modified and there would be around 100 cars in the pits for the night. As for the mains on the night first up would be the Limited Sportsman Modified and a driver would come out of hiatus Derrick McGrew would be leading most of the main event until he had car trouble and it shut off down the back stretch and Dave Richner would inherit the lead and cruise to victory. Next up would be the Super Dirtcar Series and there 100 lap event on a very fast track. It would be a very clean race out there with the high speed track as there would only be two cautions on the night. Demetrios Drellos would start out and would say see ya later to the field. That is not to take away from the raceas there was many battles around the track on the multi groove track. In doing so Drellos would get his first ever Super Dirtcar Series victory and the start in the Billy Whittaker 200 at Oswego rounding out the top three would be a great battle between Billy Decker and Mat Williamson. Next up for the Super Dirtcar Series will be Dirt Week at Oswego where Matt Sheppard will have 90 point lead. The last race on the night would be the Dirtcar Pro Stock Series and it would be a battle between the Canadian invades and the Americans as 32 cars would take the green for the 35 lap main event. When the dust would settle Luke Horning would get the win after charging from eight starting spot but that would not be without challenge from Jay Corbin and Josh Coonradt. Gallery

Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Peru Indians - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 20th 2019

Peru's Austin Carpenter (3) with the crunching hit on Plattsburgh's Kyle LaValley to break up the pass. It would be week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. As the Peru Indians would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in there first ever game under the Friday Night Lights. The game would start off good for Peru as they would get a safety 1:40 into the game for the 2-0 lead. Then about half through the first quarter the Indians strike with a 9 yard pass to Ian Joy for the 9-0 lead. That is where the game would stay till the third quarter as there would be no scoring as the defenses stepped up. Just under 5 minutes into the third quarter the Indians would score on a 6 yard run by Zach O'Connell and extend there lead to 16-0. Although the Hornets wouldn't be out done as they would take the kickoff 83 yards for the Ian Detulleo score and make it a 16-6 game. Then just a minute after that the Indians would extend there lead to 23-6 on the Austin Carpenter 73 yard catch run. Although the Hornets wouldn't go quietly as Foster Ovios would score on a 13 yard pass to make it 23-14 with just over ten minutes left in the game. Ticonderoga Sentinels Vs Beekmantown Eagles - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 14th 2019

Ticonderoga's Owen Stonitsch (24) fighting for extra yards as Beekmantown's Kaeden Myers (2) bringing him down/ It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and we would have the Ticonderoga Sentinels traveling to Plattsburgh and taking on the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would take early lead at 3:33 of the first quarter at 7-0 on the Andrew Vannatten 40 yard pass. The Eagles would double there lead to 14-0 on a Connor McGinnis 73 yard run for the score. In the second quarter the flood gates would open up and the Eagles would score twice times while the Sentinels would get one to make it 29-7 at the half. Scoring for the Eagles would be Carson Lapier and Connor Mcginnis while Schlogel scores for Ticonderoga. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would keep the pedal down and Carson LaPier would score again to make it 36-7. The game would stay there til Ticonderoga's Benedict scores halfway through the fourth to make it 36-12. The Eagles would put the icing on the game with a 34 yard run by Jonah Phaneuff to secure the 42-12 victory. In the winning effort the Eagles go to 2-0 while the Sentinels fall to 0-2 on the season.Gallery

Mohawk Nationals Night 2 - Mohawk International Raceway - September 14th 2019

Billy Dunn (49) and Matt Williamson (88) battle for the lead during the Mohawk 100 as part of the Mohawk Nationals. It would be night number two of the Mohawk Nationals and it would feature the Can Am Mod Lites, Dirtcar Sportsman Modified North and the Super Dirtcar Series. Between the three divisions there would be a total of 90 cars in the pits. As for the racing on the track it would be the Can Am Mod Lites up first for 20 lap and the win would go to Jeff May as he would dominate the race for the win and also win the series championship. Next up would be the Super Dirtcar Series and the Mohawk 100. The early lead of the race would go to Demetrius Drellos. Although that would be without challenge and Billy Dunn would take the lead around lap 40. Although he would be challenged by and passed by Matt Williamson for the win and get the grauntee spot at the Billy Whittaker 200 at Oswego. Then the last race of the night would be the Dirtcar Sportsman Modified North for 50 laps and Robert Delormier and lead from green to checker for the win although it would be not without challenge as Shane Pecore and Brianna Ladecieur would be up there for the win. Ausable Valley Patriots Vs Plattsburgh Hornets - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 13th 2019

Ausable Valley's Nate Doner (34) takes it around the edge for extra yards and the first down. It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and we would have the Ausable Valley Patriots traveling to the Plattsburghs Hornets. It would be home opener for the Hornets The Hornets would get the opening score of the game 3:39 in on a Ian Detuello 1 yard run for the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there til 12 seconds into second quarter when Jayvon Carpenter would break out a 30 yard run for the 14-0 lead. The Patriots would cut the lead in half on Nate Doner's 7 yard with 3 minutes left in the half to make it 14-7. Although the Hornets would march down the field and Ian Detuello would score again on a 3 yard pass to make it 21-7 to end the half. When the teams came back for the second half the defenses would step up and there would be no scoring. So the Hornets would get the 21-7 victory and go to 1-1 while the Patriots fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery

Moriah Vikings Vs Saranac Chiefs - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 7th 2019

Saranac's Hunter Devins (23) breaking through the tackles for the extra yards. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Moriah Vikings in the opening saturday of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Vioings would get 6-0 lead on Maddox Blaise 3 yard run in the first quarter. Although the Chiefs would answer right back with a 34 yard touchsown pass to Bryce Snith. The Vikings would regain the lead on the Deihl touchdown pass at 12-6 and take lead into the half. In the second half the rain would be coming doing at a good clup making it diffcult for both teams. The Chiefs would tie the game up midway through the third quarter with a pass to Connor Recore. In the fourth quarter Bryce Smith would get an interception and return it for a touchdown for the 20-12 lead and win. In the winning effort the Saranac Chiefs start the season at 1-0 while Moriah Vikings start at 0-1. Next week it will be the battle Saranac's with the Chiefs and Red Storm while Vikings get the Indians. Gallery

Beekmantown Eagles Vs Ausable Valley Patriots - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 6th 2019

Ausable Valley's Luis Perez (3) with the interception on the pass intended for Dylan Ferrigno (15). Beekmantown's Kaden Myers (2) fighting for extra yards and the first down. It would be the opening night of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would feature the Beekmantown Eagles traveling to the Ausable Valley Patriots. The Patriots would get on the board first as they bid for the upset on the Luis Perez 45 yard touchdown pass to take the 6-0 lead with 2:45 left in the first quarter. Then about half way through the second quarter the Eagles would take the 7-6 lead on the Cory McGinnis 39 yard run. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would take little time in extending there lead to 14-6 on the Garrett Stevens 19 yard run. Then with just over 4 minutes left in the third the Eagles would extend there lead to 20-6 on the Cory McGinnis 5 yard run. The Patriots would not go quietly as they would score as the fourth quarter started on the Eli Douglas 34 yard pass to make it 20-12. Then just over three minutes later the Patriots would strike again on the Luis Perez 54 yard pass to make it 20-18. Although then with just over two minutes left in the game Kaden Myers would score to make it 27-18 and secure the victory for the Eagles. In the winning effort the Beekmantown Eagles go to 1-0 as they play Ticonderoga next week. As the the Ausable Valley Patriots fall to 0-1 as they will get Plattsburgh next week. Gallery

Egglefield Ford Championship Night - Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway - August 31th 2019

Connor Cleveland (09) and Jamie Lafountain (20x) send it into turn one as they battle for the lead in the Sportsman Modified main. It would be round 18 at Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway and it would be Egglefield Ford championship night and three of the five champions would be crowned. The night would start with a couple of make up mains and first up would be the Ernie's Discount Tools Super Stock and the win would go to Jim McKerrian after a great battle up front with Tylor Terry. Then we would have the Chris Frennier Motorsports Strictly Stock with Nathan Smart getting another win although there would be a challenge from Josh LaPorte. Then when the mains for championship night got under way the first one up would be the Novice Sportsman Modified and the win would go to Jason Bonnett getting his first win at the track. Next up would be the would be the Chris Frennier Motorsports Strictly Stock second main of the night and Nathan Smart would couple the double but this time he would have a challenge from Caleb Tourville although it would be the same result. Then we would have the Egglefield Ford 358 Modified and it would be the way that wanted it Steve Bernier wins the race and the title for his second straight track championship. Then it would be the Hartson Total Opening Pro Stock and with the championship on a 6 point gab it was going to be a good one. It would be a battle up front all night long between Jocelyn Roy Marc LaLonde and CD Beauchanp. Beauchamp would have the lead until he and a lap car got into the wall with three laps to go. Then off the restart Lalonde and Roy would go at again and Roy would get the win but Lalonde would be crowned the first ever track champion in the Pro Stock division. Then we would have the Porier's True Value Sportsman Modified and how else would you want the season to end but the top 2 in the points this season at the front going for the win and Connor Cleveland would get the win on the night for number 8 but Adam Pierson would get the track championship. Then the night will finish with the Erine's Discount Tools Super Stock with there second main of the night and it would be the same players upfront but this time Tylor Terry would get the win on the night. There will be one more race weekend at Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway as the Dirtcar Sportsman Modified North and Pro Stock Series come to town along with the Strictly and Super Stock on September 7th. Frenchies Championship Night - Mohawk International Raceway - August 30th 2019

Mike Maresca (7mm) takes it to the highside and gets by Tim Fuller (19) for the lead and win the 50 lap main. It would be Frenchies Championship night at Mohawk International with all 5 division tirles up for grabs. The first main out of the box would be the Bandits and the win would go to Matt Zira after he charged from the last starting position to the win in the 10 lap main and he would also be crowned the season champion. Next up would be the Novice Sportsman Modified and the win would go to Jonathan Rush for first win in just under a year at Mohawk after sprited battle with Dan Beachard and the championship would go to Dan Reif in first year in a Sportsman Modified. Then after the intermission we would be back in action with the Crossroad Tabasco Sportsman Modified and it would be a see saw affair up front between RJ Tressiders and Rickey Thompson with win going to Thompson on a restart with the championship going to Shane Pecore would got a third in the last race. Then we would have the Mod Lites and that would see a fight up between the new series champion Kevin Foster and Harley Brown with the win going to Brown. Then it would be the main event of the evening with the Frenchies 358 Modifieds going 50 laps. It would see Mike Mareseca charge from mid pack to the front and have a battle for the win with Tim Fuller and would see Maresca take the lead with ten to go and hold on for the win. Although the championship would go to Chris Raabe who had a 9th on the night but had enough points in the bag to hold on for the win. Next up at Mohawk will be the Mohawk Nationals a two day show on September 13 and 14 with the Dirtcar Sportsman and Pro Stock Series, Mod Lites, Super Dirtcar Series and the 358 Modified Series. Back to School/Nostalgia Night Presented by Casella Waste Systems - Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway - August 24th 2019

Zack Daniels (30) charges ahead in the closing laps for the win as Michael Wright (78) does his best to get the win. It would be race seventeen at Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway and it would be back to school/Nostalgia Night presented by Casella Waste Systems. The first main up would be the Nostalgia Tour and there 25 lap event would go to Josh Powers. Then it would be the Egglefield Ford 358 Modified and the win would go to Stephen Bernier for his third win of the season he would have some challenge from Mike Mahanney but Bernier would be in control. Then up would be the Porier True Value Sportsman Modified and Chris Frennier would get the lead off the start but that would be short lived as Adam Pierson would get the lead. Although Begor would charging up and would take the lead and get the win for his second win in four days. Next up would be the Ernie's Discount Tools Super Stock and this would be exciting race with many cautions throughout including the leaders spinning with three laps to go. Off the restart with Zack Daniels would get the win for his second of the season. Then the Novice Sportsman Modified would see first time winner Jonathan Rush. Then the Chris Frennier Motorsports Strictly Stock would have last main event of the night but that wouldn't happen as the track unsafe do to oil all around the track.
