Ben St Ann (59) comes to rest on the hood of the 75 when they tried to go back to front. It would be the second night of demolition derby action at the Franklin County Fair in Malone a part of the Total Destruction Promotion Series. There would be four heats of compact cars one heat of Powder Puff and Full-Size cars there would be around 75 cars on the night. There would be a lot of hard-hitting with an extra room that was out on the track and two cars would end up on their roofs throughout the night. The big winners on the night would be Jamie St. Mary in the full-size class and Travis Charleson in the Compact class and both would take home a 1,000 dollars for the win. As for the Powder Puff class that would go to Brenda Christian. Gallery

Edwin Davis and his two-wheel drive Chevy to carry the front wheel down the track for a third place. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers would make there annual return to the Franklin County Fair in Malone for there all day and night show. There would be a total of 25 classes on the day from Stock Trucks and Tractors all way to the Super Farm Tractors and Pro Stock 4x4 Trucks. It would be another packed house throughout the evening. There would be some speculator wheel standings and lots of smoke and some arrange throughout the pull. Gallery

The 77 car would line up the 17N car from nearly half the track away and put a hard hit maybe the hardest night and fold up the 17N. It would be the first night of demolition derby action at the Franklin County Fair in Malone, NY. It would be a compact derby show tonight with 5 of the 6 heats of action being the compact cars with a total of 70 cars. There would be plenty of hard-hitting with the extra space that would be available on the track. When it is was all side and done on the night the two big winners would be Austin Martin in 8 Cylinder and Tom Pickering in the 4 Cylinder classes with both of them taking home a nice 1,000 payday. Store Tavern's Mike Orsmby (6) with the scoop on the low throw to first for the out. The Store Tavern would meet up with the Wendell's/Adirondack Archery in the Adirondack Slow Pitch Softball League. The Wendell's/Adirondack Archery would get off to the quick start with pair of home runs in the first for a quick 2-0 lead. Then in second, they would answer again with another pair of runs to extend the lead to 4-0. The game would stay there till the fifth when the Store Tavern would get on the board to make it 4-1. Then in the sixth Wendell/Adirondack Archery would add two more runs for the 6-1 victory. Gallery

Empire Football League Week 4 Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Glens Falls Greenjackets July 26 2014

Plattsburgh's Jason Remilard (10) lowers the pads and helmet and takes down Greenjackets (7) looking to go down the wing. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Glens Falls Greenjackets with the Mayors Cup on the line. The North Stars would take the quick 8-0 lead when Javon Piccock would run back the opening kick. Half way through the first quarter they would extend the lead to 14-0 on Tory Bouyea touchdown. In the second quarter the would get a pair of scores from Tory Bouyea and Brett Boyer for the 28-0 lead at the half. In the second half the North Stars would go into cruise mode and get one short touchdown from Elisa Parks and secure the 34-0 victory in the winning effort the North Stars would improve there record to 3-1 on the season. Adirondack Slowpitch Softball League Store Tavern Vs After Hours Imaging July 22 2014

Store Tavern's Jason Favaro (3) with the catch on the ball sent back up the middle to stop a base hit. The Store Tavern would meet up with After Hours Imaging in Adirondack Slowpitch Softball League action. The game would remain scoreless until the third inning when both teams would trade runs and the game would be tied at one. In the fourth, the Store Tavern would have some issues and After Hours would score six runs and take a 7-1 lead and then add another in the fifth to make it 8-1. In the sixth the Store Tavern efforts would come up short getting just three runs. This would, in turn, give the After Hours Imaging the 8-4 win. With the win After Hours, Imaging goes to 4-6 while the Store Tavern falls to 5-5 on the season. Gallery

The 70 car would line up from half trackway and lay the metal on the 57 car. The annual demolition derby would return to the Clinton County Fair. There would be around 110 cars spread out over nine heats along with truck heat. The sold-out crowd would be treated to good show throughout the day that would bring many cheers. There was definitely some great competition and hard-hitting. The winner on the day would come from outside the County in St. Lawrence county to win the main event. Gallery

The Hulk and Jonathan Zakarauskas takes it done to about 325 both passes for a clean sweep on the Pro Stock 4x4 Trucks. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers would make there annually stop at the Clinton County Fair for there truck and tractor pull. There would end up being just over 100 hooks in 20 different classes in front a good crowd. The crowd would get treated to a good show with tractors from New York, Vermont and Quebec having some wild rides and some breakage which always gets the crowd invovled. The next stop for the Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers will be the Franklin County Field Days in Highgate, Vermont on August 1 and 2. Gallery

Richard Abare and his 2009 Chevy Silverado would go over 375 feet in the Work Truck class but that would only be good enough for second. The Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers would make there annual return to the Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh, NY. There would be around 90 competitors on the night that were divided up between eight different classes ranging from Stock Trucks to Cheater Trucks. They would put on a great show in front of a packed house. The winners on the night would be Walter Cheney, Curtis Smith, Eric Labombard, and Dale Labombard in the stock class. Then in the work stock classes, it would be Trent Abare sweeping both. Then to finish it off it would be Evan Brannon sweeping the Cheater Trucks. Gallery

Cardinals Ben Weightman (23) would slide in under the tag of Timberjaxxs Jeremy Barber (21) at the plate on a passed ball. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in the semi-finals of the Champlain Valley Baseball League playoffs. The Timberjaxxs would take a quick 3-0 lead over the first two innings with a pair in the first and a single in the second. The Cardinals would get on the board with a single run in the fourth inning to make it 3-1. Then would come the game-changer what was thought nothing major at the time a two-strike one out missed check swing that was missed gave the Cardinals new life and would score four runs after that missed call and would end up giving them a 5-3 victory. With the victory, the Cardinals would advance to the championship against the Meron's Expos. Gallery
