Airborne Speedway's Nick Desroches (7) snags the liner headed for second base. The Airborne Speedway Padres and the 4th Ward Timberjaxxs would split a doubleheader. The Timberjaxxs would have a come from behind win in game 1 7-4. Then in game two the Padres would hold on for the 4-3 victory. In-game one the Timberjaxxs would get the early 1-0 lead in the first. The Padres would come back and get three in third to take the 3-1 lead. The Padres would add another in the fifth for the 4-1 lead. The Timberjaxxs would start there comeback by getting one in the sixth to make it 4-2. Then in the seventh inning the wheels would come off for the Padres and the Timberjaxxs bats woke up and they got 5 runs to get the 7-4 win. In the winning effort, DJ Barber would go six innings striking five for the victory. In-game two the Padres would get the 4-3 victory with again some late-game drama by getting two in the sixth to take the lead. Then we would need to scramble for the seventh to hang on for the 4-3 victory. Gallery

Airborne Speedway's Chris Markwickia (24) slides in safe at the plate for the winning run in game 2. The Airborne Speedway Padres and the 4th Ward Timberjaxxs would split a doubleheader. Airborne Speedway's Shane Perotte (2) applies the tag on the cardinal runner advancing to third. The Padres would split a doubleheader with the Cardinals. The first game would be close throughout the Padres would win 6-3 in nine innings. The Cardinals would get the early 1-0 lead in the second. Then the Padres would answer back with two in the third. Then the Cardinals would get 1 in the 4th to tie the game two. The two teams would trade runs in the 5th to make it 3-3. That's where the game would remain until the ninth when the Padres would open up the offense and the cardinals would have costly miscues and score three runs and get the 6-3 victory. Getting the win for the Padres would be Frank Brogna. Gane two would go to the cardinals. With the split on the day, the Padres go to 1-3 and the Cardinals 3-1 on the season. Gallery

Lyon Mountain's Chris Van Houten (4) on release with the fastball for one of his ten strikeouts on the day. The Lyon Mountain Miners would sweep the Airborne Speedway Padres 7-5 and 9-2. In-game one of the doubleheaders the Miners would take a 2-0 lead after the second. The Padres would answer back with one in third but the Miners would get three in the bottom to have the 5-1 lead. Then in the fourth, the Miners would get two more for the 7-1 lead. The Padres would try to make the late-game comeback but it just comes up short getting four runs in the last two innings for the 7-5 Miners win. In the winning effort, Justin Besaw would strike out four. In-game the Padres would just have no answers for the Miners as they would get 9 unanswered runs in the first six innings. Then in the seventh Padres would avoid the shutout by getting two runs for the 9-2 final. In the winning effort, Chris Van Houten would strike out 10 in 6 innings of shutout ball.
