Cardinals Ben Weightman (23) would slide in under the tag of Timberjaxxs Jeremy Barber (21) at the plate on a passed ball. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in the semi-finals of the Champlain Valley Baseball League playoffs. The Timberjaxxs would take a quick 3-0 lead over the first two innings with a pair in the first and a single in the second. The Cardinals would get on the board with a single run in the fourth inning to make it 3-1. Then would come the game-changer what was thought nothing major at the time a two-strike one out missed check swing that was missed gave the Cardinals new life and would score four runs after that missed call and would end up giving them a 5-3 victory. With the victory, the Cardinals would advance to the championship against the Meron's Expos. Gallery

Timberjaxx's Dalton Demarco (11) with the diving catch in left field to rob a base hit. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in the semi-finals of the Champlain Valley Baseball League playoffs. The Timberjaxxs would take a quick 3-0 lead over the first two innings with a pair in the first and a single in the second. The Cardinals would get on the board with a single run in the fourth inning to make it 3-1. Cardinals' Brain Latulipe (8) with the pick on the ball headed up the middle to save the hit and fire to first for the out. The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up with the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in Week 8 of Chaplain Valley Baseball League. The Cardinals would take the quick 1-0 lead in game 1 on Tommy Neale's RBI single. The Timberjaxxs would tie the game back up at on Demarco's double in the third. Then at the bottom of the third would score four to make it 5-1. Then in the fourth, the Cardinals would add three more to make it 8-1. Then in the fifth, the Timberjaxxs would try to get back into with 2 runs but it would not be enough and the Cardinals would hold on for the 8-3 win. Then in the second game, the Cardinals would score early, and often they would get three in the first to take a 3-0 lead. Then one in the second for a 4-0 lead. Then they would add another four in the third to make it 8-0. Then they would add six in the fourth to make it 14-0 and get the win as the game was called after five innings. In the second game, Will Flynn would pitch all five strike out seven and give up three hits for the shutout victory. With the sweep on the day the Cardinals stay about the league standings. Gallery

The Fourth Ward Cardinals would meet up with the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in Week 8 of Chaplain Valley Baseball League. Peabod.y's Matt Rivers(88) with the fastball release for the strikeout as part of a seven strikeout the day. The Peabody Padres would host the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs in doubleheader action at Saranac in Week 3 of the Champlain Valley Baseball League season. The first game would remain scoreless until the fourth inning when the Padres would explode four runs in the inning with the big blow coming from Matt Ormsby two rbi single and take the 4-0 lead. The Padres would do it again in the fifth with two more runs playing small ball to make it 6-0. Then in the sixth inning the Padres would add one more to secure the lead at 7-0 with some bad play in the field by the Timberjaxxs. In the seventh inning the Timberjaxxs would avoid the shutout and get a run on the board as the Padres would get the 7-1 win. In the winning effort Matt Rivers would go the distance striking out seven and giving up one run on three hits. With Padres Shane Perrotte would go 3-3 with a RBI. The Padres would also take the second game and go to 2-2 on the season while the Timberjaxxs falls to 0-4.

Airborne Speedway Padres @ Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs June 30 2012
Fourth Ward's Adam Bradish charges the slow roller and fired across the diamond for the out. The Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs would defeat the Airborne Speedway Padres 14-5. The game would start off well for the Padres as they would take the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second, they would get four more on a grand slam from Mark Eggleston to take the 5-0 lead. From there on out the Timberjaxxs would get fourteen unanswered runs. The big dagger in the heart would come in the third when they would score nine runs as the Padres pitches were having problems located the plate. Airborne Speedway's Nick Desroches (7) snags the liner headed for second base. The Airborne Speedway Padres and the 4th Ward Timberjaxxs would split a doubleheader. The Timberjaxxs would have a come from behind win in game 1 7-4. Then in game two the Padres would hold on for the 4-3 victory. In-game one the Timberjaxxs would get the early 1-0 lead in the first. The Padres would come back and get three in third to take the 3-1 lead. The Padres would add another in the fifth for the 4-1 lead. The Timberjaxxs would start there comeback by getting one in the sixth to make it 4-2. Then in the seventh inning the wheels would come off for the Padres and the Timberjaxxs bats woke up and they got 5 runs to get the 7-4 win. In the winning effort, DJ Barber would go six innings striking five for the victory. In-game two the Padres would get the 4-3 victory with again some late-game drama by getting two in the sixth to take the lead.
