Plattsburgh State's Kerri Corcoran (4) wins the draw late in the game to set up the winning goal down the stretch. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home and look to keep there undefeated season going as they would welcome the Mount St. Vincent Dolphins to the Field House Lacrosse Complex in front of 60 fans on a windy day. It would be a back and forth tilt between two evenly matched opponents as it would be tied at 6 after the first quarter and scoring for the Cardinals would be Kate Kennedy, Frankie Porcaro (twice), Kerri Corcoran, Allie Vangas and Kate Kallamni. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same although the Cardinals would win the half 6-5 for the 12-11 win and scoring would be Emily Caolli, Lindsey Guzzetta, Deja Richardson (twice) and Katie Kallamani. The Cardinals would get the game-winning goal with 26 seconds left as Deja Richardson would find the back of the net. In the winning effort, while the Cardinal goaltenders will combine for 8 saves on the afternoon and Katie Kallanami and Deja Richardson will have three points each as the Cardinals go to 3-0 on the season. Plattsburgh State's Kerri Corcoran (4) and Canton's Alyssa Kolbe (3) go after the opening draw of the game to welcome in the 2020 Women's Lacrosse season. It would be the opening game of the spring season or so we thought it would be as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Canton Kangaroos and in a snowed filled NCAA Women's Lacrosse game. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would get the opening goal of the game from Kerri Corcoran. Although the rest of the half would go the way of the Canton Kangaroos as they would outscore them 8-3 and the Cardinals would trail 8-4 at the break. Scoring for the Cardinals in the first would be Kerri Corcoran (twice), Allie Vangas, and Lindsey Guzzetta. When the teams would come back for the second half the Cardinals would flip the script and win the second 8-4 and force overtime as they would be tied at 12. In the second half Frankie Porcaro, Allie Vangas (twice), Katie Kallamni (three), and Emily Caoili would score to force overtime. In the overtime period, it would go back and forth until the final minute when Frankie Porcaro would rip her second of the game to give the Cardinals the 13-12 victory. In the winning effort, goalkeepers would combine for ten saves as Allie Vangas and Katie Kallamni would each have a hat trick as the Cardinals start the season at 1-0. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #15 Cortland State Red Dragons - Women's SUNYAC Lacrosse - March 23rd 2019

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up there first season in the SINYAC conference with a game against #15 Cortland State Red Dragons ub front of 150 fans. It would be a rough one for the Cardinals as they would give up fourteen unanswered goals in the first half and trail 14-0 at the intermission. In the second half the Cardinals would get the first goal of the half from Emily Caoili. Although the joy would be short lived as the Red Dragons would get seven more unanswered and secure the Cardinals defeat at 21-1. In the losing effort Alexa Cassidy and Kaitlyn Boyea-Gynup would combine for ten saves as the Cardinals go to 1-6 on the season.Gallery

The game would start out very good for the home Cardinals as they would have the 8-5 lead after the first half. In the second half there lack of experience would hurt them though as they couldn't hold the lead and lose the half 6-2 and the Cadets would get the 11-10 victory. In the losing effort Frankie Porcaro and Reece Wiley would lead the way with three goals each as the Cardinals fall to 1-2 on the season.Gallery
