It would be time for the second semi-final game of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout and the host Plattsburgh State Cardinals would take on the #3 Wisconsin Eau Claire Blugood in front of 1400 fans. It would not start off good for the home team as the Blugold would score twice in the first period from Scott Munro and Jake Bresser to make it 2-0 after one. In the second period, the Cardinals wouldn't fare much better as the Blugold would get another to 3-0 on the Zach Kennedy goal. In the third period, the Cardinals wouldn't have much left as they would give up three more goals Jon Richards twice and Andrew McGlynn. Although the Cardinals would avoid the shutout on a goal by Ryan Hogg on the powerplay for the 6-1 Blugood win. In the winning effort, Wisconsin Eau Claire stays undefeated and head to the finals against Middlebury.
