It would be a section VII clash at the Field House between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would draw first blood on the goal by Josh Barriere at 4:25 of the first. The game would stay there all the way till the 7:25 mark of the second period when the Eagles would score two short-handed goals in six seconds from Josh Barriere and Ryan Waterbury to make it 3-0 lead. Then at 11:35 of the period, Josh Barriere would score to finish off the Hat Trick and make it 4-0. Then at the 12:32 mark, the Eagles would extend the lead to 5-0 on Josh McCauley's goal. Then the game would stay there till the 6:43 mark when the Cougars would answer with two goals in seconds to make it 5-2 on Alex Gonyo and Dayton Roberts's goals. Then thirty seconds later the Eagles would answer back with two goals in fourteen seconds from Ryan Waterbury to finish of the hat trick. Then at the 11:13 mark the Eagles would put the icing on cake with Nathan Trombley's first career goal in securing the 8-2 win. It would be a late-season matchup between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and Plattsburgh Hornets wanting home ice in the first round. The Hornets would get the first goal of the game at the 10:19 mark of the first period from Andrew Becherd to make it 1-0 Hornets. The game would stay there until the 10:52 mark of the second period when Andrew Becherd would get his second of the night. Then just 15 seconds later the Cougars would get on the board to make it 2-1 on the Dayton Roberts goal. The game would stay there till 9:14 of the third when Kurtis Olsen would make it 3-1 Hornets. Then at the 1435 mark, Andrew Becherd would finish off the hat trick and make it 4-1. In the losing effort, Ryan Roberts would make 37 saves as the Cougars fall to 5-10 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Kyle Constantly (44) puts the puck in on the short side for one of his two goals on the night. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would match up with #10 Beekmantown Eagles in Section VII action at the Plattsburgh State Field House. The Cougars would show no fear as they would get the opening goal from Jordan Lemere at 2:58 of the first. The Eagles would come back and tie the game up at the 8:18 mark of the first on Kyle Constantly first of the night. Then with under two minutes left in the first Cougars, Dayton Roberts would give his team the 2-1 lead headed into intermission. The Eagles would tie the game up at two on Nathan Foster's goal at 4:38. The Eagles would take the first lead of the game at 7:39 on Brendan Davison's goal to make it 3-2. The Eagles would extend the lead to 4-2 at 11:09 on Brandon Buksa's first goal of the night. Then in the final seconds of the second period, Brandon Buksa would score his second of the night for the 5-2 Eagles lead. Then just 1:20 into the third period the Eagles would make it 6-2 on Kyle Constantly second goal of the night. Then just 12 seconds later Ryan Waterbury would make it 7-2. Then the Eagles Nathan Foster would get his second of the game at 2:40 to finish off the scoring and secure the Eagles 8-2 win. The game would remain scoreless always until the 2:46 mark of the second period when Dayton Roberts would light the lamp for the 1-0 Cougars lead. Dayton Roberts would strike again at 12:39 mark this time with the short-handed goal to give the Cougars the 2-0 lead. In the third, the Chiefs would strike with just over five minutes left to make it a 2-1 game down the stretch on Danny Bridgeman's goal. Although the Cougars would strike twice in the matter of fives with under two minutes left on Jordan Lemere and Nick Leduc's goals to give the Cougars the 4-1 victory. Then in the final two minutes of the period the Cougars would make it 3-0 Nick Ladue's second goal of the night. The second period would be a carryover of the first when Mason Letourneau would score to make it 4-0. Finally at the 6:12 mark the Hornets would get on board thanks to Eric Bechard to make it 4-1. Then at the 10:03 mark John Fine Lease would score to make it 4-2 and now we have a game. Just over two minutes later it would be a one-goal game with Eric Bechard's second of the night. Then with 15 seconds left in the period the Hornets would tie it up at 4 on Jack Tolosky's goal. The Cougars would retake the lead at 5-4 on Andrew Arless's goal. Then just twenty seconds later Nick Ladue would add his third goal of the game to make it 6-4. Then in the closing minutes Ladue would add a fourth goal on the empty netter to secure the 7-4 win.
