Plattsburgh State's Elijah Bryant (1) drives from the wing and creates the opening on the way. It would be the opening night of the NCAA Tournament and the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Nicholls Bisons in a matchup of the top 25 teams in the country. It would be a very tightly called game with a lot of offensive firepowers. The Cardinals would take a 51-46 lead into the intermission. When the teams would return for the second half the Cardinals would start to pull away and win the half 52-40 and secure the 103-86 victory.
