Saranac's Garrett Adolfo (32) flies over and tips the ball before it gets to the Ausable wide receiver. It would be the #1 Saranac Chiefs against the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in the Section VII Class C Championship. The game would get off to a slow start with the rain and snow as the Patriots would get the only score of the first quarter on a safety at 4:45 for the 2-0 lead. In the second quarter the Chiefs would get on the board and take the 7-2 lead on the 24 yard pass to Jacob Nolan at the 8:26 mark and hold that for the 7-2 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Chiefs would extend there lead to 14-2 on a 42 yard strike to Bryce Smith. In the fourth quarter the Chiefs would get another score from Jacob Nolan for the 21-2 lead. In the closing couple minutes of the game the Patriots would score on the 15 yard pass to Trevor Wilkinson. Although it would not be enough as the Saranac Chiefs get the 21-8 victory and crowned the 2018 C.V.A.C. Class C Champions and will play Ogdensburg next weekend. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class D Championship - #1 Moriah Vikings Vs #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels - October 26th 2018

Moriah's Maddox Blaise (4) with the catch in the end zzone for the two point conversion. It would be the traditional Class D Championship for Section VII as the #1 Moriah Vikings would meet up with the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels for the championship. The game would start of very defensive as the first score would come at 3:41 and Moriah would take the 8-0 lead on Jarin Sargents 22 yard reception. Although the Sentinels would march right down the field and score just over a minute later and make it 8-6 on the Dillon Schlogl score. Moriah would extend there lead 90 seconds later on a 76 yard catch and run by Jarin Sargent for his second score of the game and a 16-6 lead. Then with just under two minutes left in the half the Vikings would score again on Jarin Sargents third touchdown of the quarter this time for 39 yards to make it 24-6. In the second half the Sentinels would try and get back in the game with a score to make it 24-14. Although it wouldn't be enough as the Vikings would get two more scores for the 36-14 victory. With the win the Moriah Vikings go to 7-2 and wait the section II team in the state playoffs while the Ticonderoga Sentinels season comes to an end at 2-7. Gallery

Peru's Austin Carpenter (5) slides into the end zone for the lone Indians score. It would be the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Semi-Finals featuring the #2 Plattsburgh Hornets and the #3 Peru Indians It would be a defensive battle with both teams going for every yard they can. The Indians would draw first blood on a four-yard run by Austin Carpenter to give them the 8-0 lead with 2:12 left in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Hornets would answer back on a 61-yard pass to Zach Bieber to make it an 8-7 game. Believe it or not, that would be all the scoring the game and the defenses would crank down and not allow another score the rest of the night. With the 8-7 victory, the Peru Indians would improve 5-3 as they head to the championship next week against the Beekmantown Eagles while the Plattsburgh Hornets season comes to end with a 4-4 season. The Saranac Chiefs would take the 7-0 lead at the 7:15 mark of the first quarter on the 8-yard pass to Jacob Nolan. The Chiefs would extend there lead to 14-0 midway through the second quarter on the James Conway 1 yard run. Ausable Valley Patriots Vs Ticonderoga Sentinels - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 7 - October 12th 2018

Ticonderoga's Russell Gallo II (44) with the catch and fights through the tacklers for the extra yards. It would be the final week of the regular season and it would feature the Ausable Valley Patriots and Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Sentinels would take the 7-0 lead with two minutes left in the first quarter on the quarterback sneak. The Patriots would take the 8-7 lead with 4:30 left in the first half on the Jordan Fletcher five yard run. The Patriots would take the lead in the final minute of the first half when Michael Douglas caught the 16 yard pass and make it 14-7 at the half. Ticonderoga would get with one on the 8 yard run by Bryce Gautreau and make it 14-13 game. Ausable would come right back on the next play and connect on a 90 yard pass play to Luis Perez and make it a 20-13 game. Although with four minutes left in the quarter Bryce Gautreau would score again on a 14 yard play to make it 20-19. With just under four minutes left in the game the Sentinels would take there first lead of the game at 25-20 on the Michael Dushane five yard touchdown pass. Although the Patriots would march right down the field and Luis Perez would score on a five yard touchdown pass in the final minute and secure the 26-25 victory for there first victory of the season. In the winning effort the Ausable Valley Patriots would go to 1-6 while the Ticonderoga Sentinels fall to 1-6 on the season. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Saranac Chiefs Vs Peru Indians - October 6th 2018

Peru's Robert Reynolds (2) with the tip on the ball that causes it to go through the hands of Saranac's Conner Recore (80). It would be week 6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and would feature the Saranac Chiefs and Peru Indians battling for second place in the conference. The game would start with the Indians taking the 7-0 lead on the Robert Reynolds 2 yard pass at 3:43 of the first quarter. The Chiefs would answer back with 3:30 left in the first quarter on the Andy LeBeau 5 yard pass. The Indians would take the lead in the second quarter on the 15 yard pass to Austin Carpenter to make it 14-7 and that is where the score remained til halftime. The Chiefs would answer back in the third quarter on a 49 yard pass to Jacob Nolan to tie the game up at 14. In the coming couple minutes of the fourth quarter the Chiefs would take the 21-14 lead on the Isaac Graham 15 yard pass. Although the Indians would answer back at 3:46 on the Alex Palmer 6 yard run to tie the game at 21. Then with 37 seconds left in the game the Chiefs would hit a 29 yard feild goal for the 24-21 lead. Then with seven seconds left in the game the Chiefs would seal the game away on a Jacob Nolan pick 6 for the 31-21 victory. In the winning effort the Saranac Chiefs go to 5-1 while the Peru Indians fall to 3-3 on the season. Gallery
