Saranac's Hunter Devins (21) through the gap and takes it in for the score. It would be week four of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and are saturday tilt would feature the Ausable Valley Patriots @ the Saranac Chiefs. The game would start off with a bang as Eli Douglas would run back the opening kickoff 92 yards and give the Patriots the 6-0 lead. The Chiefs would come right back and score four minutes later on a 2 yard run by Hunter Devins and would convert on the two point conversion and take the 8-6 lead and that would end the scoring in the first half. The Patriots would regain the lead at 13-8 on the 14 yard pass to Eli Douglas. Then just two and half minutes later the Patriots would extend there lead to as Eli Douglas would strike again this time for 73 yards and make it a 19-8 game. Then with four minutes left in the game the Patriots would put the icing on the cake with Nate Doner's 15 yard run for the 25-8 lead and hold on for the victory. In the winning effort the Patriots go to 2-2 on the season while the Chiefs fall to 2-2 on the season. Gallery

Beekmentown Eagles @ Peru Indians - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 27th 2019

Peru's Austin Carpenter (3) with the catch over the middle for the first down. It would be week four of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be the classic matchup under the lights as the Peru Indians would host the Beekmantown Eagles. The game would start of like the classic as there would be no score after the first quarter. The Eagles would finally break through four minutes into the second quarter as Connor McGinnis would score on a 23 yard run for the 6-0 lead. Then at the 7:44 mark of the 2nd quarter the Eagles would double there lead on a 54 yard pass and catch to Kaden Myers for the 12-0 lead. Then with just over two minutes left in the half Myers would score on a 11 yard run for the 19-0 lead at the half. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would keep up the effort as they would extend there lead to 26-0 on a one yard sneak by Nathan Finley. That would end the scoring on the night and the Eagles would get the 26-0 win. In the winning effort the Beekmentown Eagles go to 3-1 while the Peru Indians fall to 2-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Peru Indians - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 20th 2019

Peru's Austin Carpenter (3) with the crunching hit on Plattsburgh's Kyle LaValley to break up the pass. It would be week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. As the Peru Indians would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in there first ever game under the Friday Night Lights. The game would start off good for Peru as they would get a safety 1:40 into the game for the 2-0 lead. Then about half through the first quarter the Indians strike with a 9 yard pass to Ian Joy for the 9-0 lead. That is where the game would stay till the third quarter as there would be no scoring as the defenses stepped up. Just under 5 minutes into the third quarter the Indians would score on a 6 yard run by Zach O'Connell and extend there lead to 16-0. Although the Hornets wouldn't be out done as they would take the kickoff 83 yards for the Ian Detulleo score and make it a 16-6 game. Then just a minute after that the Indians would extend there lead to 23-6 on the Austin Carpenter 73 yard catch run. Although the Hornets wouldn't go quietly as Foster Ovios would score on a 13 yard pass to make it 23-14 with just over ten minutes left in the game. Ticonderoga Sentinels Vs Beekmantown Eagles - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 14th 2019

Ticonderoga's Owen Stonitsch (24) fighting for extra yards as Beekmantown's Kaeden Myers (2) bringing him down/ It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and we would have the Ticonderoga Sentinels traveling to Plattsburgh and taking on the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would take early lead at 3:33 of the first quarter at 7-0 on the Andrew Vannatten 40 yard pass. The Eagles would double there lead to 14-0 on a Connor McGinnis 73 yard run for the score. In the second quarter the flood gates would open up and the Eagles would score twice times while the Sentinels would get one to make it 29-7 at the half. Scoring for the Eagles would be Carson Lapier and Connor Mcginnis while Schlogel scores for Ticonderoga. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would keep the pedal down and Carson LaPier would score again to make it 36-7. The game would stay there til Ticonderoga's Benedict scores halfway through the fourth to make it 36-12. The Eagles would put the icing on the game with a 34 yard run by Jonah Phaneuff to secure the 42-12 victory. In the winning effort the Eagles go to 2-0 while the Sentinels fall to 0-2 on the season.Gallery

Ausable Valley's Nate Doner (34) takes it around the edge for extra yards and the first down. It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and we would have the Ausable Valley Patriots traveling to the Plattsburghs Hornets. It would be home opener for the Hornets The Hornets would get the opening score of the game 3:39 in on a Ian Detuello 1 yard run for the 7-0 lead. The game would stay there til 12 seconds into second quarter when Jayvon Carpenter would break out a 30 yard run for the 14-0 lead. The Patriots would cut the lead in half on Nate Doner's 7 yard with 3 minutes left in the half to make it 14-7. Although the Hornets would march down the field and Ian Detuello would score again on a 3 yard pass to make it 21-7 to end the half. When the teams came back for the second half the defenses would step up and there would be no scoring. So the Hornets would get the 21-7 victory and go to 1-1 while the Patriots fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery

Moriah Vikings Vs Saranac Chiefs - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 7th 2019

Saranac's Hunter Devins (23) breaking through the tackles for the extra yards. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Moriah Vikings in the opening saturday of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Vioings would get 6-0 lead on Maddox Blaise 3 yard run in the first quarter. Although the Chiefs would answer right back with a 34 yard touchsown pass to Bryce Snith. The Vikings would regain the lead on the Deihl touchdown pass at 12-6 and take lead into the half. In the second half the rain would be coming doing at a good clup making it diffcult for both teams. The Chiefs would tie the game up midway through the third quarter with a pass to Connor Recore. In the fourth quarter Bryce Smith would get an interception and return it for a touchdown for the 20-12 lead and win. In the winning effort the Saranac Chiefs start the season at 1-0 while Moriah Vikings start at 0-1. Next week it will be the battle Saranac's with the Chiefs and Red Storm while Vikings get the Indians. Gallery

Beekmantown Eagles Vs Ausable Valley Patriots - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - September 6th 2019

Ausable Valley's Luis Perez (3) with the interception on the pass intended for Dylan Ferrigno (15). Beekmantown's Kaden Myers (2) fighting for extra yards and the first down. It would be the opening night of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would feature the Beekmantown Eagles traveling to the Ausable Valley Patriots. The Patriots would get on the board first as they bid for the upset on the Luis Perez 45 yard touchdown pass to take the 6-0 lead with 2:45 left in the first quarter. Then about half way through the second quarter the Eagles would take the 7-6 lead on the Cory McGinnis 39 yard run. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would take little time in extending there lead to 14-6 on the Garrett Stevens 19 yard run. Then with just over 4 minutes left in the third the Eagles would extend there lead to 20-6 on the Cory McGinnis 5 yard run. The Patriots would not go quietly as they would score as the fourth quarter started on the Eli Douglas 34 yard pass to make it 20-12. Then just over three minutes later the Patriots would strike again on the Luis Perez 54 yard pass to make it 20-18. Although then with just over two minutes left in the game Kaden Myers would score to make it 27-18 and secure the victory for the Eagles. In the winning effort the Beekmantown Eagles go to 1-0 as they play Ticonderoga next week. As the the Ausable Valley Patriots fall to 0-1 as they will get Plattsburgh next week. Gallery

Plattsburgh Hornets @ Saranac Chiefs - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - October 19th 2019

Saranac's Addison Kelting (23) fends off Plattsburgh's Hayden Dandrow (80) as he takes it around the edge for the gain. It wouldn't just be the last week of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference regular season but the last game and it would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and Saranac Chiefs. Defense would be the name of the game in the first half as neither team would be able to get the ball in endzone. The Hornets would eventual get on the board and take the 7-0 lead on the Javon Carpenter 30 yard pass 3:30 into the third quarter. The Hornets would extent there lead to 14-0 on the Dylan Garranrt 54 yard pass one minute into the fourth quarter. The Chiefs would cut the lead in half with just under five minutes left in the fourth on the seven yard pass to Justin Bedard to make 14-6. That would be all the scoring as the Hornets would hold onto the win and go to 3-4 on the season while the Chiefs fall to 3-4. The playoffs start next week and the Plattsburgh Hornets will travel to Peru for the Indians in the Class B Semifinals while the Chiefs will travel to Saranac Lake and play Red Storm. Gallery
