Northeastern Clinton's Nick Rowe (9) misses on the open net on the tapper right in front. It would be the second game of the Beekmantown Hockey Tournament and it would pit the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the Pelham Pelicans. The Pelicans would waste little time showing why they were in the final four a year ago as they would score six goals in the first period coming from Nat Heintz, Gibson Smith (twice), Nick Davidow (twice), Stefan Miklos. The Cougars would score in the final two minutes of the period to make it 6-1 on Devyn Sample's goal. In the second period, the teams would trade goals to make it 7-2 after two periods. Scoring would be Dayton Roberts for the Cougars and Ben Hurd for the Pelicans. In the third period, the Pelicans would add three for insurance as they would cruise to the 10-2 victory. Beekmantown's Josh Barriere (7) flips the wrister over the shoulder of Northeastern Clinton's Ryan Roberts for the goal. It would be a section VII clash at the Field House between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the Beekmantown Eagles. The Eagles would draw first blood on the goal by Josh Barriere at 4:25 of the first. The game would stay there all the way till the 7:25 mark of the second period when the Eagles would score two short-handed goals in six seconds from Josh Barriere and Ryan Waterbury to make it 3-0 lead. Then at 11:35 of the period, Josh Barriere would score to finish off the Hat Trick and make it 4-0. Then at the 12:32 mark, the Eagles would extend the lead to 5-0 on Josh McCauley's goal. Then the game would stay there till the 6:43 mark when the Cougars would answer with two goals in seconds to make it 5-2 on Alex Gonyo and Dayton Roberts's goals. Then thirty seconds later the Eagles would answer back with two goals in fourteen seconds from Ryan Waterbury to finish of the hat trick. Then at the 11:13 mark the Eagles would put the icing on cake with Nathan Trombley's first career goal in securing the 8-2 win. The Malone Huskies would meet up with the Norwood-Norfolk Icemen in Section X Division 2 action. The Icemen would waste little time in a taking the 1-0 lead at the three minute mark of the first period from Colby Munson. The game would stay there til 12:23 of the period when Brandon Palmer would make it 2-0 Icemen. Then in the final minute of the first period Johan Eksing would score for the Huskies on the power play to make it 2-1. The Icemen would regain the two goal lead at 3-1 2:30 into the second period on Zeb Brown's goal. The Icemen would extend the lead to 4-1 at 8:40 on Shane Cryderman's goal. The Icemen would continue at the 13:17 mark and make it 5-1 on Austin Cousineau's goal. In the third period it would be more of the same as the Icemen would score at 2:11 Coby Munson's second goal of the night to make it 6-1. Then at 5:30 of the period the Icemen would make it 7-1 on Tristen Harvey's goal. Then at 10:29 the Huskies would finally light the lamp again on Bailey Conklin's power play goal to make it 7-2. Then just to finish it off Icemen's Zeb Brown would get his second of the night to secure the 8-2 victory. In the losing effort Joe Brown would make 34 saves as the Huskies fall to 2-1 on the season.
