The game would stay there till the 11:07 mark of the second period Aaron Catron for the lone goal of the second period. It would take long into the third period for a goal as the Cardinals would score just 25 seconds in on the Josh Belgrave goal to make it a 4-0 game. With just about 5:30 left in the game, the Red Dragons would end the shutout bid with the Domenic Settino goal to make it 4-1. Although just over 40 seconds later the Cardinals would get the 4-goal lead back on Luk Jirousek and just over two minutes later Jirousek would score again to secure the 6-1 victory. In the winning effort, the Cardinals would stay perfect on the season at 9-0 as Eli Shiller would make 18 saves on the night.
