Plattsburgh's (10) dives for the loose ball to keep the play alive before they head out of bounds. It would be the rivalry matchup and senior night at Plattsburgh High as they would host the Peru Nighthawks in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. The game would start off slow as there was no scoring in the game for almost the first three minutes of the game but when the scoring came the Hornets would shootout to a 15-11 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would have better luck at the rim throughout, though it would be another 15-11 quarter for the Hornets to give them a 30-22 lead as they went into the locker room. When the teams returned for the third quarter it was a defensive quarter with the Nighthawks winning the low-scoring quarter by the slimness of margins at 7-6 but the Hornets would have the 36-29 lead as they enter the 4th quarter. In the fourth quarter, both offenses would come to play as it would be a 15-13 quarter for the Hornets and they would get the win 51-41. With the win the Hornets will go to 11-8 on the season and will play the Northern Adirondack Bobcats on February 16th will the Nighthawks will fall to 8-10 on the season as they head into their matchup against Northeastern Clinton.
