Plattsburgh's Brandin Calkins (12) takes around the Saranac defender Connor Graves (5) just inside the blue line to get a better angle on the shot. It would be a contest inside the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference tonight as the #9 Saranac Chiefs would meet up with the Plattsburgh Hornets at the AC North Sports Center. It would take just 45 seconds for the first goal of the game as the Chief's Landin Duprey would light the lamp for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 5:40 mark of the period Nolan Miner would score to extend their lead to a 2-0 lead. Then at the 10:41 mark of the period the Chiefs would score again on Duprey's second goal of the period and take a -0 lead to end the period. When the teams came out for the second period the teams would play pretty even throughout and there would be no scoring as the Chiefs would hold onto their 3-0. The Chiefs would keep the scoring going as they would light the lamp 4:07 into the period when Zack O'Connell would score to make it a 4-0 game. The game would stay there till the ten-minute mark of the period when the Chiefs would score twice in 45 seconds from Landin Duprey (for the hat trick) and Nolan Miner (second of the night) to make it a 6-0 Chiefs lead. Then with just over three minutes left in the game, the Chiefs would end their scoring outburst when Zack O'Connell would get the second of the night for the 7-0 win. In the winning effort, the Chiefs would outshoot the Hornets 62-15 as they go to 10-2-2 on the season as the Hornets fall to 2-8 on the season. Gallery
