Saranac's (24) wraps up the legs and holds tight to bring down Peru's Ryan Lovely (11). The Saranac Chiefs would host the Peru Indians in week 6 of the Champlain Valley Football League league season. It would be the battle of a couple of schools that just don't like each other and at times it would show. The Indians would strike first 3:30 on a fumble recovery in the endzone for a score to make it 7-0 Indians. Then at the 8-minute mark the Indians would score again this time hooking up with Zane Bazzano on a 45-yard pass to make it 14-0. The Chiefs would get on the broad just over a minute later on John Maye's touchdown run to make it 14-6. Then just three minutes into the second quarter the Indians would hit Bazzano again this time on a bomb to make it 20-6. Then just two minutes later it would be Bazzamo again to make it 27-6. Then as the first half would come to an end the Indians and Rivelino Hendricks would score from five yards out to make it 34-6 at the break. When the teams return for the second half it was more of the same as the Indians and Hendricks would score at the nine-minute mark to make it 41-6. From there on out the teams would cruise it on out. With the win, the Indians stay undefeated at 6-0 and the Chiefs fall to 2-4 on the season.
