Malone's Morgan Fountain (3) takes flight for the wide-open lay upon the breakout. The Malone Huskies would host the Gouvenour Wildcats in Section X Central Division action. The story of the game would be the Huskies full-court defense and it would be evident by the first quarter with a 22-9 lead. It would be more of the same in the second quarter as the Huskies won the quarter 19-1 and took a 41-10 lead into the break. In the second half it would be more of the same they took the half 33-11 and get the 74-21.
