The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would finally open up the home portion of there season with a SUNYAC game against New Paltz. It would be a pitchers duel as the two pitchers would combine to strike out ten and give up seven hits. The lone run of the game would come in the eighth inning when David Lostagilo would hit a sacrifice fly that would score Richard Guido to give the Hawks the 1-0 lead and eventual win.
