Plattsburgh's Will Flynn (13) bare hands the ball after a bad hop off the chest and fires onto first for the out. The Plattsburgh Cardinals would host the Fourth Ward Athletics in a rare mid-week game for the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The game would remain scoreless until the 4th inning when Cardinals Brain Latulipe would have a 2 RBI single to give the Cardinals the 2-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 3-0 on an RBI single by Sherman. The Athletics would score in the sixth on an error to get on the board to make it 3-1. In the seventh, the Athletics would get two runs one on a past ball scoring Gus Terry and fielder's choice scoring Barcomb to tie the game at 3. Then at the bottom of the inning the Cardinals would win the game on a walk-off bunt by Eric Dwyer to give the Cardinals the 4-3 win. In the winning effort, Sherman would go the distance striking out three while giving up 3 runs on 3 hits. With the win, the Cardinals stay in first place in the standings. Gallery
