Plattsburgh State's Dillan Fox (21) slides it by the goalie's toe but it goes straight across the paint. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Morrisville State Mustangs in SUNYAC play. It would be be looking like it was going to be a scoreless first until the Mustangs took 1-0 lead with 1:02 left in the period on the Zach Baker goal. When the teams came back for the second period the Cardinals would waste no time in tying the game up on Mark Constantines goal 20 seconds into the period. Then at the 7:23 mark of the period, the Cardinals would take the 2-1 lead on the Michael Radisa goal. Then at the 16:52 mark of the period the Mustangs would answer back on the Robert Molinaro goal to make it 2-2. Then just 15 seconds later the Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 on the Rich Botting goal. The game would stay there until the 8:43 mark of the third period when Zach Popp would score to make it 4-2. Then at the 14:30 mark of the third Joe Santino would score for the Mustangs to try and make it interesting down the stretch at 4-3. Although in the closing minute of the game Brandon O'Quinn would score the empty netter to secure the 5-3 victory.
