The Cardinals would get the scoring starting with Kevin Emmerling (25) with the goal at 4:24 mark of the first period. The game would remain there till the last minute of the period when Morrisville's Darren Young would score to make it 1-1. Then at the 5:31 mark of the second period, Plattsburgh's Anthony Calabrese would score to make it 2-1. Then at the 15:04 mark of the second period, Joel Santino would tie the score up again for Morrisville at 2. Then in the span of 1:30 in the third period Michael Cassidy would score twice including a shorthanded goal to give the Cardinals the 4-2 lead. Then with just over two minutes left Kevin Emmerling would score on the powerplay to give the Cardinals the 5-2 lead and eventual win.
