Beekmantown's Kade Collins (9) with the wrister on the breakaway for the opening goal. It would be the season opener and feature the Beekmantown Eagles and LaSalle Cadets. The Eagles would get the lone goal in the first period with just about five minutes remaining from Kade Collins. In the second period the LaSalle Cadets would come back and get a pair of goals from Ryan Murray and Sam Balston to take a 2-1 lead. That is where the game would stay until 1:30 remaining in the game when Christain Wawrzynski would score to tie the game at 2.
