It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Softball matchup between the Saranac Chiefs and the Peru Nighthawks in early season action. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would get five runs in the first two innings and take the 5-0 lead. In the third inning, the Chiefs would start to get back in the game with two runs on Benjamin and Owen base hits for a 5-2 game.
