Team Livey's Austin Velie with the diving catch on the tip for the first down. It would be week three of the Plattsburgh Outdoor Flag Football League featuring Team Livsey and Team St. John. In the first half it was a defensive battle as Team St. John would have the 7-0 lead. In the second half the offenses would come alive as Team Livsey would win the half 21-14 but that would just mean there headed to overtime. In that overtime Team St. John would score and get the 27-21 victory. In the winning effort Team St. John goes to 2-1 while Team Livsey falls to 0-3 on the season. Gallery

C.D. Beauchamp (88) would fend off all challengers in the Pro Stock Series race and win. It would be the Dirtcar Pro Stock Series presented by Garrand Motorsports. It would be a great races with close battles throughout. Although when the night was done C.D. Beauchamp would win the Pro Stock Series 50. Other winners on the night would be Chris Frennier Sportsman Modified, Mini-Modifieds Josh Laporte and Dave Demore and in the Strictly Stock it would be Caleb Tourville and Shawn Walker. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 2 - Saranac Chiefs Vs Saranac Lake Red Storm - September 9th 2018

James Conway (22) fights through the leg tackle and gets the first down. It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletiec Conference football season and we would have the Saranac Chiefs Vs the Saranac Lake Red Storm. It would be a game that Chiefs had in control from the start. As Luke Maye would score twice while Jacob Nalon would have three and James Conway would get one as the Chiefs cruise to 44-0 victory. In the winning effort the Chiefs go to 2-0 while the Red Storm fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football - Week 2 - Ausable Valley Patriots Vs Plattsburgh Hornets - September 7th 2018

Plattsburgh's Lestyn Williams (42) stretches out for the touchdown to give the Hornets the lead. It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Atheletic Conference season and it would feature the Ausable Valley Patriots and the Plattsburgh Hornets. The Horners would get the opening score of the game on a run by Lestyn Williams for the 7-0 lead at 3:52 of the first quarter. The game would be a very defensive game and the game would stay there all the way through the first half. When the teams would come back for the third quarter the Patriots would finally get on the board on a 63 yard pass to Louie Perez although they would miss the extra point and the Hornets would keep a 7-6 advantage. The game would stay there til the final three minutes of the game when the Hornets would expand there lead to 14-6 on a four yard run by Lestyn Williams and secure the victory. In the winning effort the Hornets go to 2-0 while the Patriots fall to 0-2 on the season. Next will the Horners will be at home as they host the Peru Indians and the Patriots will travel and take on the Saranac Lake Red Strom. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 1 - Peru Indians Vs Ticonderoga Sentinels - September 1st 2018

Peru's Kasen Brennan (1) with the stiff arm on the defender that drops him as he gains the first down. It would be the opening week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and the last game of the week would feature the Peru Indians and the Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Indians wouldn't take long to jump out to the lead as they would strike with a 71-yard pass to Austin Carpenter 2:06 into the game for the 7-0 lead. On the next defense drive, they would block the punt for a safety and have a 9-0 lead. Then at the 7:41 mark of the first quarter, they would add a 2 yard run from Brayden Miner for the 15-0 lead. Right off in the second quarter, they would score on an 18-yard pass to Austin Carpenter for the 22-0 lead. Then at 4:45 mark of the quarter, they would score on a Kasen Brennan 17 yard touchdown pass for the 28-0 lead at the break. In the second the Indians wouldn't let up as they would score three more times for the 48-0 victory. With the victory, the Indians start there season at 1-0 while the Sentinels fall to 0-1 on the season. Gallery

Labor Day Special Presented by Egglefield Ford - Airborne Park Speedway - September 1st 2018

Michael Wright (78) nips Jim McKerrien (52) at the line as the battle to the checkered flag. It would be week 14 at Airborne Park Speedway which would be the Labor Day Special Presented by Egglefield Ford and the last points night for the 358 Modified and the Sportsman Modified. It would be a good night of racing at the Big A with many battles on track and tempers flaring up a couple of times. Although when the dust settled in the 358 Modifieds Steve Bernier would win the race and be crowned the 2018 Track Champion. While in the rest of the racing Jeremy Roy would win the Sportsman Modified race and Nick Heywood would be crowned track champion. While in the Super Stock they would have double feature and Tylor Terry and Michael Wright would get the win. In the Mini-Modifieds Shawn Moquin and Shawn Walker wins the Strictly Stock Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 1 - Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Saranac Lake Red Storm - August 31st 2018

Saranac Lake's Braden Ryan (1) fends off tacklers as he takes it around the edge for the extra yardage. It would be the opening night of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference football season and we would see the Platsburgh Hornets host the Saranac Lake Red Storm. The Hornets would tske the 6-0 lead on the 32 yard run by Lestyn Williams. Lestyn Williams would strike again on a 15 yard run at 8:02 of the first quarter to extend there lead to 13-0. In the first few seconds of the second quarter the Horners would strike again with a 22 yard pass to Zack Bieber to make it 20-0 and thats where the game would be at halftime. When the teams came back for the second half the Horners wouldn't take long to extend the lead as Liam Rascoe would run back the opening kick 88 yards for the 26-0 lead. In the fourth quarter in the last two minutes of the game the Hornets would strike on more time with a 65 yard run by Andrew Swiesz to secure the 32-0 victory. In the winning effort the Plattsburgh Hornets would go to 1-0 while the Saranac Lake Red Storm would fall to 0-1 on the season. Gallery

In the opening game it would be Team Livsey vs Team Braxton. This would be a game that would come down to defense. As Team Braxton would have a 6-0 lead after the first half. In the second half defenses would still reign supreme as Team Braxton would score one more and secure the 13-0 victory. In the winning effort Team Braxton goes to 1-0 while Team Livsey falls to 0-1. It would be Team St. John Vs Team Castine to finish off the opening day of the North Country Flag Football season. Team Castine would take a 13-0 lead after the first half. In the second half Team St. John would try to stay with them but Team Castine would be too much for them as they win the half 20-0 and secure the 33-0 victory. In the winning effort, Team Castine would go to 1-0 while Team St. John falls to 0-1 on the season. Gallery

KSR Motorsports - Night of Fire and Destruction - Champlain Valley Fair Essex Junction, Vermont - August 26th 2018

Crash Morneau doing his version of the human blow torch. It would be the KSR Motorsports annual stop to the Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction, Vermont for there Night of Fire and Destruction tour. The would bring six monster trucks Annihilator, Storm Damage, Hurricane Force, Toxic, Bad News Travels Fast along one mini monster Zombie Sniper. They would also have the Quad Wars with Team Vermont Vs Team New Jersey and stunts with Crash Morneau and Tony Pederson. As for the Monster Trucks, they would have a freestyle show only and the unofficial winner would be Bigfoot. As for the quad wars, the winner would be Team Vermont 2-1. In the stunts portion of the show they would Tony Pederson and his two-wheel stunts and Crash Morneau doing the human blow torch. Gallery
