Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Saranac Chiefs Vs Peru Indians - October 6th 2018

Peru's Robert Reynolds (2) with the tip on the ball that causes it to go through the hands of Saranac's Conner Recore (80). It would be week 6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and would feature the Saranac Chiefs and Peru Indians battling for second place in the conference. The game would start with the Indians taking the 7-0 lead on the Robert Reynolds 2 yard pass at 3:43 of the first quarter. The Chiefs would answer back with 3:30 left in the first quarter on the Andy LeBeau 5 yard pass. The Indians would take the lead in the second quarter on the 15 yard pass to Austin Carpenter to make it 14-7 and that is where the score remained til halftime. The Chiefs would answer back in the third quarter on a 49 yard pass to Jacob Nolan to tie the game up at 14. In the coming couple minutes of the fourth quarter the Chiefs would take the 21-14 lead on the Isaac Graham 15 yard pass. Although the Indians would answer back at 3:46 on the Alex Palmer 6 yard run to tie the game at 21. Then with 37 seconds left in the game the Chiefs would hit a 29 yard feild goal for the 24-21 lead. Then with seven seconds left in the game the Chiefs would seal the game away on a Jacob Nolan pick 6 for the 31-21 victory. In the winning effort the Saranac Chiefs go to 5-1 while the Peru Indians fall to 3-3 on the season. Gallery

Ausable Valley Patriots Vs Ticonderoga Sentinels - Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 7 - October 12th 2018

Ticonderoga's Russell Gallo II (44) with the catch and fights through the tacklers for the extra yards. It would be the final week of the regular season and it would feature the Ausable Valley Patriots and Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Sentinels would take the 7-0 lead with two minutes left in the first quarter on the quarterback sneak. The Patriots would take the 8-7 lead with 4:30 left in the first half on the Jordan Fletcher five yard run. The Patriots would take the lead in the final minute of the first half when Michael Douglas caught the 16 yard pass and make it 14-7 at the half. Ticonderoga would get with one on the 8 yard run by Bryce Gautreau and make it 14-13 game. Ausable would come right back on the next play and connect on a 90 yard pass play to Luis Perez and make it a 20-13 game. Although with four minutes left in the quarter Bryce Gautreau would score again on a 14 yard play to make it 20-19. With just under four minutes left in the game the Sentinels would take there first lead of the game at 25-20 on the Michael Dushane five yard touchdown pass. Although the Patriots would march right down the field and Luis Perez would score on a five yard touchdown pass in the final minute and secure the 26-25 victory for there first victory of the season. In the winning effort the Ausable Valley Patriots would go to 1-6 while the Ticonderoga Sentinels fall to 1-6 on the season. Gallery

Super Dirt Week XLVII - Oswego Speedway - October 7th 2018

Shane Pecore (0) looks to the high side and attempts to get by Robert Bublack (27b) as they battle for the lead. It would be the final day of Super Dirt Week XLVII and the features would be the main course of the day. In the first race of the day it would be the Chevy Performance 75 for the Sportsman Modified and the eventual winner would be Shane Pecore after a last lap pass on Robert Bublack to get the win and cash in on the 4,000 dollar paycheck. Next up on the day would be the Dirtcar Pro Stock 50. This race would also come down to a last lap pass but even better as C.D. Beauchamp would pass Chuck Dumblewski coming off turn four and cash in on the 2,000 dollar paycheck. That would only leave one race left on the day and that would be the Bill Whitaker Car and Truxs 200. It would be a great race up front all day between Jimmy Phelps and Larry Wight battling for the lead all day long. The eventual winner would be Larry Wight as Jimmy Phelps had to make late race pitstop for a tire issue. Although that would not end the race as Stewart Friesen would battle to the end to try and deny the win for Larry Wight. With the win Larry Wight would win first Super Dirt Week and cash in the 50,000. Gallery

Rene Repair Enduro - Airborne Park Speedway - September 29th 2018

Howard Blow (26) would jump the bank and slam into the disabled car of Rachel Dumas (511) causing race ending damage to both cars. It would be the season finale at Airborne Park Speedway and as in years past they would end with the enduro. This year there would be 98 cars that would take part in the event. It would be on a very dry track that would see alot of dust making people vision difficult out there. Richie Turner the winner on the day or so it seemed took the lead around lap 100 and would cross the line as the winner. Although the victory would be short lived cause a tire issue would cost him the win during tech. The winner of the event would eventual be Trevor Jaques. Gallery

The 12 and 39 would go nose to nose for a crunching hit battling for position. It would be the T&B Metals Froggers Used Auto demolition derby at Airborne Park Speedway to finish of the season. There would be a total of 17 cars that would be compete for the 1,000 dollars. Seeing the number of cars it would be just one feature and the winner gets the cash. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 5 - Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Beekmantown Eagles - September 28th 2018

Beekmantown's Gavin Fessette (61) with the crunching hit and tackle on Plattsburgh's Ian Detulleo (2) on the punt return. It would be Week 5 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be a battle for first place as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host crosstown foe the Beekmantown Eagles. The game would take a bit to get going as the Hornets would take the 6-0 lead at the 6:26 mark of the second quarter when Cameron Colburn would score off a 31-yard strike. The Eagles would march back down the field and tie the game up on a Christain Moura 13 yard run at 8:59 of the second quarter. Although in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would take the 12-6 lead into the break on the 4-yard pass to Zack Bieber. It would take most of the third quarter although the Eagles would take the 14-12 lead on a Christain Moura 13 yard run at 8:33. The just two minutes later they would extend there lead on the Brandon Belrose keeper for the 20-12 lead. In the early moments of the fourth, it would go to 22-12 on the Beekmentown safety. Then the eagles would extend the lead to 28-12 on the touchdown pass. Although the Hornets would answer right back 25 seconds later on the touchdown pass to Zack Bieber to make it 28-18. Then in the final three minutes of the game, the Eagles would put it away on a 4 yard run by William Colvard to secure the 34-18 victory. In the winning effort, the Eagles go to 5-0 while the Hornets fall to 3-2 on the season. Gallery

America/Canadian Sprint Car Clash Presented by Peru Farm Supply - Airborne Park Speedway - September 23rd 2018

Adam Pierson (15) dives to the bottom and gets by Dylan Rabtoy (22) for the lead in the closing laps to score his first victory. It would be the last race day of the season and the first ever American/Canadian Sprint Car Clash presented by Peru Farm Supply. There would be some great racing on the day with Airborne's weekly divisions Super Stock, Mini-Modifieds, and Strictly championships decided along with a non-points Sportsman Modified. In the main event of the day Stephen Porier would beat out Chuck Hebbing in a late race battle for the $4,000 pay out. In Sportsman Modified action Adam Pierson would get his first win a Sportsman Modified. As for the championship races in Strictly Stock division Shawn Walker would nose out Caleb Tourville for the feature win and win his second straight Strictly Stock title. In the Mini-Modifieds Josh Laporte would get the win and clinch the Points championship. As for the Super Stock division Brent Jarvis would get the overall win a three 15 lap segment race and clinch his second straight Super Stock championship. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 4 - Beekmentown Eagles Vs Peru Indians - September 22nd 2018

Beekmantown's Jalen Belrose (1) with the leaping catch along the sidelines for the interception as part of a four-touchdown and two interception day. It would be week 4 of the Champlain valley athletic conference season and we feature probably the biggest game of the season the Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians. It wouldn't take long for the Eagles to take the 6-0 lead on a 65-yard touchdown reception by Jalen Belrose 1:15 into the game. Peru would come right back and take a 7-6 lead two minutes later on the 17-yard pass to Austin Carpenter. The Indians would extend there lead to 14-6 on Austin Carpenters' second touchdown of the quarter with 1:13 left in the quarter. The Eagles would get the game to 14-12 at 3:38 of the second quarter on the Jalen Belrose 33 yard reception. The Eagles would regain the lead at the 8:41 on Jalen Belrose third touchdown of the first half and make it 18-14. The game would stay there til 8 seconds into the 4th quarter when the Eagles extend there lead to 25-14 on Willam Colvard 30 yard reception. The Eagles would score again at 9:15 on Jalen Belrose 13 yard run for his fourth score of the game to make it 32-14. Although the Indians would keep fighting and make it 34-21 on a 5-yard pass to Robert Reynolds. With the 32-21 win, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 4-0 while the Peru Indians fall to 2-2 on the season. Champlain Valley Athletics Conference - Week 4 - AuSable Valley Patriots Vs Saranac Chiefs - September 21st 2018

AuSable Valley's (32) with the interception in the endzone to save a touchdown. It would be week four of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and would feature Au Sable Valley Patriots and the Saranac Chiefs. The game would take time to get going but eventually the Chiefs would take the 7-0 lead on Connor Recore's 2 yard pass at 10:52 of the second quarter. The game would stay there til the second half when Au Sable's Evan Snow gets the 2 yard TD run to make it 7-6. Although the Chiefs would answer right back on the next drive on a 50 yard touchdown pass to Jacob Nolan to make it 13-6 at 6:14 of the third quarter. . Then at the 10:05 mark of the quarter the Chiefs would extend the lead to 21-6 on the 65 yard pass to Connor Recore, Then in the closing seconds of the third the Chiefs would put the game away on Jacob Nolan's 15 yard td pass to secure the 27-6 victory. With the win the Saranac Chiefs go to 3-1 while the Au Sable Valley Patriots falls to 0-4 on the season. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference - Week 3 - Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Peru Indians - September 14th 2018

Plattsburgh's Dylan Garrant (21) fights through the Peru tackler Keegan LaGrave (17) for the extra yards. It would be week 3 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference between cross town rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Indians. It would be a hard hitting game from the start and it would take til the second quarter for the first score of the game. In that first score the Peru Indians would take the 7-0 lead on the Kasen Brennan 6 yard score at the 6:25. Although the Hornets would answer back on a 30 yard pass to Tyler Phillips to tie the game at seven. Then in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would add a 30 yard field goal from Liam Rascoe for the 10-7 lead at intermission. At the 8:42 mark of the third quarter the Hornets would extend there lead to 17-7 on the Tyler Phillips score. Although the Indians would keep fighting and get a late score from Alex Palmer. Although it would not be enough as the Hornets get the 17-13 victory. With the win the Hornets go to 3-0 as they head to Moriah next week. While the Peru Indians fall to 2-1 and head to Beekmentown next weekend. Gallery
