Plattsburgh State's Andrew Gooch (00) gets back in at first ahead of the tag on the pickoff attempt. The Cardinals would split the doubleheader against the Blue Devils losing game 8-7 and coming back to win the nightcap 6-5. The Cardinals would score five in the 9th inning of game 1 to come up just short, Then in the second game, they would jump out to an early 3-0 lead and then have to hold on late to get the 6-5 victory. In a doubleheader that turned into a slugfest, the Cardinals would split on the day losing the 1st game 14-9 came back though in the 2nd game to get the 15-9 win.
