Malone's Katie Lamica (5) with the shot to the outfield for a solid hit. The Malone Huskies would win a slugfest with the Salmon River Shamrocks 10-9 in the home opener. In the opening inning the huskies would strike for runs. Although the Shamrocks would strike right back with 3 in the second to make it 4-3. Then between the third and fourth the Huskies would get 5 runs making it 9-3. Then in the fifth through seventh the Shamrocks would stage a comeback scoring 6 runs but the Huskies would get 1 in the sixth to secure the 10-9 win. In the winning effort, Annie Sharlow would strike out nine. With the win, the Huskies start the season at 1-0. Gallery

Malone's Morgan Fountain (3) slides in safe at second base ahead of the tag. The Malone Huskies would win a slugfest with the Salmon River Shamrocks 10-9 in the home opener. In the opening inning the huskies would strike for runs. Although the Shamrocks would strike right back with 3 in the second to make it 4-3. Salmon River Shamrocks Oakley Thomas (15) with shot and score right over the top of Malone Huskies Dan Round (30). The Malone Huskies would take one the chin to rival Salmon River Shamrocks 4-1. The Shamrocks would get one in the board first on Colton Hart's goal at 8:43 of the first. Then in the second period would strike fast with Tye Terrance scoring 20 seconds in. Then Shawn Avery would get one with 3 minutes left in the period to take the 3-0 lead in the final period. Then in the third Oakley Thomas would put the icing on the cake 3 minutes in. The Huskies would get on board when Tucker Bartenslager got the short-handed goal. Cory Garrow would stop 19 in the win for Salmon River as Dan Rondeau would stop 22 in the loss. With the win, the Shamrocks improve to 4-0-1 on the season while the Huskies fall to 1-5. Gallery

The Malone Huskies would not make very good hosts as they would get the 4-0 shutout win. The Huskies would take the lead of Aaron Sharlow's goal in the 11th minute his first of two on the day. Then with five minutes left in the half Peter Laremere would make it 2-0. Then in the second half, Matt Sullivan would add the third goal in the 59th minute. Then in the last minute of the game, Peter Laremere would get his second of the game. In the winning effort, Brandon Hanahan would stop five for the shutout. With the win, the Malone Huskies get there first win of the season going to 1-5-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the division.
