The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would travel to Plattsburgh to take on the #10 Beekmantown Eagles in Section 7 Division 2 action. The Eagles would jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first couple minutes of the first period. The game would stay there until the second period when the Cougars would get a power-play go to make it 3-1. Shortly after though the Eagles would score to put the lead back at three. In the third period, the teams would trade a goal each as the Eagles would get the 5-2 victory. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Week 7 Plattsburgh Hornets Vs Woodstock Wasps October 9 2015

Plattsburgh's Ryan Monahan (34) runs up the middle and breaks through the tacklers. It would be week 6 of section 7 football and the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Woodstock Wasps in nonleague action. The game would not start off the greatest as the Hornets would be down 24-6 at the half and lose there starting quarterback on a questionable targeting call. In the second half, the Hornets offense would come to life and the defense would step up there game and win the half 24-14. Although it wouldn't be enough as the Woodstock Wasps would get the 38-30 victory. In the losing effort getting the scores on the night would John Carroll (1) Sean Ahern (2) and Brady Pennington (3) as the Hornets fall to 1-6 as the head in the last game of the season against Ticonderoga. It would be week 6 of section 7 football and the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Woodstock Wasps in nonleague action. It would be week four the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference football season and this week we would feature the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Ausable Valley Patriots in action. The Patriots would take the 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter in the short run. The game would stay there all the way till the fourth quarter when the Patriots would extend the lead to 13-0 on the touchdown pass to (14). Then with 5 minutes left in the game, the Hornets would get on the board with the touchdown pass to (84) to cut the deficit in half at 13-7. With the win, the Patriots go to 2-2 as they head into the off week. As for the Hornets, they will fall to 0-4 on the season and will be headed to Peru next week to take on the Indians. Gallery

When the teams returned for the second half the Hornets would make some adjustments as the two teams would play even ball. The hornets would have some other chances but were unable to capitalize on them and the Eagles would hold on for the 21-6 victory. Saranac's (8) slides in safe at third under the tag. It would be the Saranac Chiefs and the Plattsburgh Hornets in Section 7 JV baseball. It would be a day that would be in favor of the Hornets as they would take the quick 2-0 lead in the first. They would extend the lead in the third to 5-0. The in the top of the fourth Chiefs would get on the board to make it 5-1. Although at the bottom of the inning the Hornets would break the game wide open and take a 10-1 lead. Then in the sixth, the Chiefs would get a couple to try and get back in the game and make it 10-3. That's where the game would finish as the Hornets would get the 10-3 victory. In the losing effort, the Chiefs would fall to 0-2 in the early season. Gallery.

Northeastern Clinton's (10) battles hard with the Hornets face-off man for the in zone face-off win. It would be the #3 Plattsburgh Hornets hosting the #6 Northeastern Clinton Cougars in Section VII Division II Quarterfinals. The game would remain scoreless until the last minute of the first period when Plattsburgh's when Kurtis Olsen would light the lamp to make it 1-0. Then in the second period, the Hornets would add another two more goals to make it a 3-0 game after the second period. Then just 2:30 into the third the Cougars would look to make it a game as Dayton Roberts would score to make it 3-1. Although the Hornets would answer right back with four of there own to make it 7-1 Hornets lead. The Cougars would get another one late but it wouldn't be enough as the Hornets get the 7-2 win. In the winning effort the Plattsburgh Hornets advance to the Semi-Finals where they get the waiting Beekmantown Eagles. Gallery
