It would be the #3 Plattsburgh Hornets hosting the #6 Northeastern Clinton Cougars in Section VII Division II Quarterfinals. The game would remain scoreless until the last minute of the first period when Plattsburgh's when Kurtis Olsen would light the lamp to make it 1-0. Then in the second period, the Hornets would add another two more goals to make it a 3-0 game after the second period. Then just 2:30 into the third the Cougars would look to make it a game as Dayton Roberts would score to make it 3-1. Although the Hornets would answer right back with four of there own to make it 7-1 Hornets lead. The Cougars would get another one late but it wouldn't be enough as the Hornets get the 7-2 win.
