The Miners would jump out to the early 2-0 lead in the first. That is where the score would remain until the Athletics would tie up at two in the fifth. Then in the sixth Kris Chase would get the game-winning hit. With the Miners finish the season at 10-5 and get a share of the regular season crown while the Athletics finish at 5-10. Gallery

Airborne Speedway's Matt Rivers (88) jumps to snag the high hop and fire over to first for the out. The Airborne Speedway Padres would sweep a doubleheader over the Fourth Ward Athletics by scores of 15-0 and 14-11. In-game one the Athletics would have no answer for Matt Rivers has would go the complete game striking out three and giving up just two hits. The Padres would score early and often as they would get two in the first, one in second to make it 3-0. Then in the third, the Padres would explode for five runs including a three-run homer from Joey Painter to make it 8-0. Then in the fifth, the Padres would finish it off with a seven-spot as the Athletics pitcher was having problems locating the plate for the 15-0 final. Then in game two, they would trade runs in the first to make it 1-1. The Padres would take the 2-1 lead after two. Then in the third A's would come back and tie the game at 3. Then in the fourth, the Padres would take 10-5 lead on the seven-run inning on the strength of Nick Desrochers and Mark Eggleston's back to back home runs. In the fifth, the A's would trim the lead to two runs at 11-9 on the strength of a four-run inning. Then the teams would trade runs over the remaining innings to make the final 14-11 Getting the win in relief was Matt Rivers. As the Padres would improve to 7-7 and the A's fall to 5-9 on the season with one week remaining. Gallery

Airborne Speedway/Hockey Plus Padres Shane Perotte (2) with the stab on the grounder down line at third base. The Padres continue there winning ways of late as they get another sweep this weekend. As they would beat the Fourth Ward Athletics 10-0, 11-1 both games would be called after five innings. With the sweep, the Padres improved to 8-6 as the will be taking on the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs next weekend in Plattsburgh at South Acres Field. While the Fourth Ward falls to 1-13 and will look to right the ship next weekend as they will host the Plattsburgh Cardinals at Lefty Wilson Field in Plattsburgh. Gallery

Airborne Speedway/Hockey Plus Padres Donny Coolidge (32) slides in safe at the plate ahead of the tag to break up a tight game in first of a doubleheader with the Fourth Ward Timberjaxxs. The first game of the twin bill would be scoreless through the first five innings till the Padre's scratch one across in the bottom of the fifth. The Timberjaxxs would answer back in the top of sixth to tie it at 1. Then at the bottom of the inning, the Padres get two-run to get the 3-1 victory. In the second game of the Padres would answer early an often as their bats came alive and would cruise to the 11-3 victory to earn the sweep and improve there record to 4-4 headed into there game next week against Lyon Mountain Miners will the Timberjaxxs fall to 1-7 as they will face off with the Athletics.
