Plattsburgh (32) with the all-out effort on the loose ball scramble to get it back for the Hornets late. It would be a matchup of winless opponents in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Girl's Basketball action as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels. The game would start off good for the home hornets as they would jump out to the big lead after the first quarter at 17-6. In the second quarter, it would be a complete flip of the scrip as the Sentinels would get back into the game with a 13-3 quarter and only trail the Hornets by 1 at 20-19 at the half. When the teams returned for the second half they would play the third quarter rather tightly and the Hornets would increase their lead by the slimmest of margins at 8-6 to take a 28-25 lead into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter, the game would remain tight throughout and there would even be a couple of lead changes in the stanza. Although the Hornets would have enough in them to secure the 42-36 victory on the strength of a 14-11 quarter to get their first win of the season. The Hornets will look to continue their winning ways on Friday, March 19th as they travel to Clintonville and take on the Ausable Valley Patriots. Gallery.

It would be a matchup of winless opponents in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Girl's Basketball action as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels. The game would start off good for the home hornets as they would jump out to the big lead after the first quarter at 17-6. Chateaugay's Caitlin Miller (21) and Northern Adirondack center jump for the opening tip as Bulldogs Caitlin Miller wins the tip. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would travel out of Section X to take on Section 7 for the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. It would be a defensive battle throughout and low scoring. In a low scoring first quarter, the Bulldogs would take the slim 8-6 lead. In the second quarter, the Bobcats would be in complete control and win the quarter 20-5 and take the 26-13 lead into the intermission. In the third quarter, it would be very low scoring and the Bulldogs would win the quarter 4-2 and the Bobcats would still have the 28-17 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs would do there best to make a game by winning 12-8. Although it wouldn't be enough as the Bobcats would get the 36-29 win. In the losing effort, Katie Beach would lead the way with 11 points as the Bulldogs start the season at 0-1. Gallery.

The Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet with the Colton-Pierpont Colts in Section X East Division action. The Bulldogs would get off to a quick start and take the 16-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would trade basket and tie at 12 although they would have 28-17 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the third quarter it would be a defense quarter with the Bulldogs winning it 9-5 to take a 37-22 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs would win the quarter 11-3 and get the 48-25 victory. Leading the way for the Bulldogs would be Brianna Cook with 17 points as the Bulldogs go to 3-1 on the season. Gallery

The Chateaugay Bulldogs would travel to the Beekmantown and taken on the Eagles in a non-league JV game. It would be a game that very physical underneath points would come at a premium as the Eagles would hold the slight 11-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would outscore the Eagles 12-10 to tie the game 21-21 at the half. The third quarter would be the deciding quarter of the game as the Eagles would win the quarter 21-8 and take a 42-29 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs just had no answer as they would lose the game 51-38. In the losing effort, Danielle and Alicia Cook would lead the way with 11 points as the Bulldogs suffer there first loss of the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Danielle Charland (1) takes flight along the baseline for the layup basket. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host their neighbors the Northern Adirondack Bobcats in non-league action. The game would start off tight actually as tight as it could get as they would be tied at 10 after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bulldogs would pull ahead barely as they would have 25-22 lead at the break. When the teams would return for the second half the Bobcats defense would step in the third quarter as the Bobcats would outscore the Bulldogs 17-5 and take the 39-30 lead after three. The Bulldogs would try there best in the fourth to get back in the game but their efforts would come up short and they would fall 48-39 to the Bobcats. Even with the Bulldogs lose Danielle Charland and Abby Barnes would each have 11 points as they fall to 0-1. Gallery

Malone's Rachel Lamica (14) battles for the loose ball with the Ausable Valley player by the foul line. The Malone Huskies would host the Ausable Valley Patriots in non league action as the Huskies finish off the regular season. The game would be a defensive battle through out with both teams holding the other down. The Patroits would have the 14-8 lead after the first quarter. The Huskies would do there best to get in the game and a 20-18 lead at the break thanks to a 12-4 second quarter. Then when the teams returned for the third quarter it would stay tight as the Patroits would win the quarter 15-14 but the Huskies would still have the 34-33 lead. In the fourth quarter the Patroits defense would really step up as they would hold the Huskies to three points and win the quarter 10-3 to take the 43-37 victory. Malone's Rachel Lamica would lead all scorers with 12 points as the huskies fall to 10-7 on the season. Gallery
