Clinton County would take the early lead 4-0 after the first and not look back from there. Then in the second inning, they would trade three runs as Malone trade to stay in the game at 7-3. The Mariners would add three more in the third and four in the fourth for 14-4 victory. In the winning effort, Logan Recore would go the distance striking out four and giving four hits and four runs. Malone would answer back with two in the bottom of the inning to make it 5-3. Then in the sixth the teams would trade runs to make it 6-4.
