It would be the last Plattsburgh State Cardinals Men's Basketball game before the winter break, and they would take on SUNYAC foe the Buffalo State Bengals in front of 300 fans. For the first half of the first half, the game went back and forth, with both teams taking the lead, but the Cardinals took control and led 37-2 at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cardinals took complete control with a 46-29 half, and they walked away with an 83-58 victory as they head into the break at 4-3. We would have NJCAA Division III Region III Men's Basketball from Clinton Community College, with the home Cougars hosting the visiting Jefferson Community College Cannoneers, who would get back on the winning track after yesterday's loss to Onondaga Community College. The game would be tight through the first half as the teams would trade the lead back and forth, and when the intermission hit, the Cannoners would have the slim 36-34 lead. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cannoners would explode out of the gate and take a quick 16-point lead and look to have the game in hand. Although the Cougars would give everything they could to get back in the game and, at one point, had it within four in the closing minutes, the Cannoners would win the half 52-44 and secure the 88-78 win. Clinton's Jay-den Matos (1) goes up and around the defender for the basket as part of the 90-76 win over Fulton Montgomery Wednesday night. The Clinton Community College Cougars would be back at home as they welcomed the Fulton Montgomery Raiders, a fellow Region III opponent, looking to build on their win last week in the early season. Both teams entered the game at 1-1. The teams would play at a high-octane pace, up and down the court, and the first half would be tight throughout, with the Raiders leading 52-47 at the break. When the teams returned for the second half, the Raiders would keep it up and extend their lead to almost 15 before the Cougars would start to find the nylon, before they would turn up the jets and be off to the races as the Cougars would win the half 48-31 and secure the 90-76 victory. In the losing effort, the Raiders fall to 1-2 on the season as they are back in action at home over the weekend. As for Clinton Community College, they would improve to 2-1. As for the Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Irwayne Connell (35) drives to the basket past the defender for the score as part of his nine-point night. It would be the home opener for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals, as they would host traditional non-conference foe the Norwich Cadets from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference on Veterans Day, in front of 500 fans. The game would go back and forth in the first half, with both teams leading but always staying within 10 points, and the Cadets would have a 41-37 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cardinals' defense would step up as they would hold the Cadets to just 19 points for the half, while the offense would get out there and score 30, as the home Cardinals would secure the 67-60 victory as they go to 2-0 on the season. In the winning effort, the Cardinal Reem Welch led all scorers with 24 points. For the Cadets, they will fall to 1-1 on the season, and Michael Ndayishimiye would lead the way with 21 points. Clinton's Anthony Thomas (15) made a diving save along the sidelines to keep the offense going. It would be the Clinton Community College and the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves from the Clinton Community gym in NJCAA Region III Men's Basketball action. The home Cougars would be looking to avenge their season-opening loss, and they would be off to a good start as they would jump out to a 46-300 lead at the intermission. In the second half, though, the Timberwolves would do their best to get back in the game, nd in the closing seconds of the half, they would tie the game at 8. Although the Cougars would have one last chance, Jeffrey Weeks II would get the 85-83 victory. In the Cougars' winning effort, Jeffrey Weeks led the way with 23 points, as they go to 1-1 on the season heading into their game next week against Fulton Montgomery. It would be SUNTAC playoffs time, and the #4 seeded Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #5 Morrisville State Mustangs in the Quarterfinals of the SUNYAC Men's Basketball playoffs in front of 725 fans for the first time in seven seasons. The game would be close throughout the first half, but the Cardinals would hold the lead for the whole half and end the half tied at 28. In the second half, it would be a lot like the first half and close throughout, and with 4 seconds left in the game, the Cardinals would extend their lead to three. The Mustangs would get a shot off at the buzzer, but it would rim out, and the Cardinals would get the 69-66 win after a 41-38 half. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, they would advance to the conference semi-finals and take on the #1 New Paltz Hawks as Franklin Infante would lead the way with 21 points as the Cardinals go to 15-11 on the season. Plattsburgh State's Orlando Dawkins (24) with the slam dunk as he broke on the breakaway as the Cardinals got the 116-95 victory. It would be the final game of the regular season from Memorial Hall, and see the Plattsburgh State Cardinals host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC and play in front of 550 fans. It would be a scoring, fast-paced game from the opening tip that would see the Cardinals jump out to a 19-4 lead to start the game before the Blue Devils would start coming back, and the Cardinals would have the 50-43 lead at the intermission When the teams returned for the second half the pace of the game would only get faster as both teams would have over 50 points in the half with the Cardinals winning the half 66-52 and secure the 116-95 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Kareem Welch would lead the way with 25 points as they go to 14-11 in the season and will host the Morrisville State Mustangs in the first round on Tuesday evening. As for the Fredonia State Blue Devils' season, it will end at 6-19 as Aiden Proudfoot and Brandon Kulakowski would combine for 20 points. Gallery

It would be the start of the regular season's final weekend, and the Plattsburgh State Cardinals are fighting to host a first-round game in the upcoming SUNYAC Tournament as they take on the Buffalo State Bengals in front of 650 fans. The first half of the game would be tight and back and forth, and the Cardinals would hold the slim 31-30 lead. When the teams returned for the second half, it would be more back and forth, with both of them having their chance to win the game down the stretch, but the Bengals would win the half 37-36 and force overtime tied at 67. In the overtime, the Cardinals would get the 78-77 win when Franklin Infante would make the game-winning free throw with seconds to spare. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Franklin Infante would lead the way with 24 points as they go to 13-11 on the season and head into their final game against the Fredonia State Blue Devils. As for the Buffalo State Bengals, Bryce Williams would lead the way with 22 points, falling to 8-16 in the season and then heading to Potsdam State to finish the season. Gallery

It would be the next to last game of the regular season for the Clinton Community College Cougars as they would take on the #1 Mohawk Valley Community College Hawka as they battle to make the playoffs. The first half of the game would be tight throughout as the Cougars would keep it close but were unable to get over the hump as the Hawks would have the 33-28 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the second half, the scoring would stay there as the Hawks would stretch their lead to double digits through most of the half, but the Cougars would battle back late in the half to make it a game as they would get within five, but the Hawks would win the half 35-32 as the Hawks get the 68-60 victory. In the winning effort for Mohawk Valley, they go to 23-1 in the season, while the Clinton Community College Cougars fall to 9-15 in the season. Gallery

We would have SUNYAC Men's Basketball action from Memorial Hall as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals host the Morrisville State Mustangs as they make their playoff push. The game would start with the Cardinals showing their dominance as they would get off to a quick big lead, but the Mustangs would keep coming back and have the 38-36 lead after the first half. When the teams returned for the second half, the Mustangs would keep the offense up and, at one point down the stretch, would have a couple-digit lead, win the half 48-44, and hold on for the 86-80 victory. In the winning effort for the Mustangs, Kareem Sanders scored 21 points, and they went 10-8 in the season. As for the Cardinals, Kareem Welch would lead the way with 16 points as the Cardinals fall to 10-9 on the season. Gallery
