In the second period, the Cardinals wouldn't fare much better as the Blugold would get another to 3-0 on the Zach Kennedy goal. In the third period, the Cardinals wouldn't have much left as they would give up three more goals Jon Richards twice and Andrew McGlynn. Although the Cardinals would avoid the shutout on a goal by Ryan Hogg on the powerplay for the 6-1 Blugood win. In the winning effort, Wisconsin Eau Claire stays undefeated and head to the finals against Middlebury.
