The game would start off well for the Padres as they would take the 1-0 lead after the first. Then in the second, they would get four more on a grand slam from Mark Eggleston to take the 5-0 lead. From there on out the Timberjaxxs would get fourteen unanswered runs. The big dagger in the heart would come in the third when they would score nine runs as the Padres pitches were having problems located the plate.
