The Eagles would keep coming and extend the lead to 3-1 on the power play goal from Novak Jarus at the 3:31 mark of the period, and that's how the second period would end. When the teams returned for the third period, the offense would stay hot for the Eagles and make it a 4-1 game at the 6:09 mark when Novak Jarus would get his second goal. Then, with 4:28 left in the game, Jarus would complete the hat trick as he would make it a 5-1 game. The Cougars would add one late from Baylon Cronkrite with three minutes left in the game for his second of the game to make it a 5-2 game. With 1:44 left in the game, Edward Sweenor would get his second goal as they would secure the 6-2 win. In the winning effort, the Eagles netminders would combine for 14 saves on the night as they go to 9-5-1 on the season. They head into their next game against the Plattsburgh Hornets on Friday night as they battle for first place in the standings.
