Michael Ayer (69) tbones the green car as it spins sideways entering the corner and almost gets put on the lid. It would be the season finale at Airborne Park Speedway and as in years past, they would end with the enduro. This year there would be 98 cars that would take part in the event. It would be on a very dry track that would see a lot of dust making people vision difficult out there. Richie Turner the winner on the day or so it seemed took the lead around lap 100 and would cross the line as the winner. Although the victory would be short-lived cause a tire issue would cost him the win during tech. The winner of the event would eventually be Trevor Jaques.

Josh Baker (004) puts his car on top of the 17 car as they crunch each other. It would be the T&B Metals Froggers Used Auto demolition derby at Airborne Park Speedway to finish of the season. There would be a total of 17 cars that would be competing for 1,000 dollars. Seeing the number of cars it would be just one feature and the winner gets the cash.

Beekmantown's Willam Colvard (28) takes it around the edge for the score. It would be Week 5 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be a battle for first place as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host crosstown foe the Beekmantown Eagles. The game would take a bit to get going as the Hornets would take the 6-0 lead at the 6:26 mark of the second quarter when Cameron Colburn would score off a 31-yard strike. The Eagles would march back down the field and tie the game up on a Christain Moura 13 yard run at 8:59 of the second quarter. Although in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would take the 12-6 lead into the break on the 4-yard pass to Zack Bieber. It would take most of the third quarter although the Eagles would take the 14-12 lead on a Christain Moura 13 yard run at 8:33. Just two minutes later they would extend there lead on the Brandon Belrose keeper for the 20-12 lead. In the early moments of the fourth, it would go to 22-12 on the Beekmentown safety. Then the eagles would extend the lead to 28-12 on the touchdown pass. Although the Hornets would answer right back 25 seconds later on the touchdown pass to Zack Bieber to make it 28-18. Then in the final three minutes of the game, the Eagles would put it away on a 4 yard run by William Colvard to secure the 34-18 victory. Stephen Porier (28FM) and Chuck Hebbing (45) battle for the lead during the feature event. It would be the last race day of the season and the first ever American/Canadian Sprint Car Clash presented by Peru Farm Supply. There would be some great racing on the day with Airborne's weekly divisions Super Stock, Mini-Modifieds, and Strictly championships decided along with a non-points Sportsman Modified. In the main event of the day Stephen Porier would beat out Chuck Hebbing in a late race battle for the $4,000 pay out. In Sportsman Modified action Adam Pierson would get his first win a Sportsman Modified. As for the championship races in Strictly Stock division Shawn Walker would nose out Caleb Tourville for the feature win and win his second straight Strictly Stock title. In the Mini-Modifieds Josh Laporte would get the win and clinch the Points championship. As for the Super Stock division Brent Jarvis would get the overall win a three 15 lap segment race and clinch his second straight Super Stock championship.

Beekmentown's Connor McGinnis (32) with the crunch hit and tackle on Peru's Alex Palmer (20) to stop the first down. It would be week 4 of the Champlain valley athletic conference season and we feature probably the biggest game of the season the Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians. It wouldn't take long for the Eagles to take the 6-0 lead on a 65-yard touchdown reception by Jalen Belrose 1:15 into the game. Peru would come right back and take a 7-6 lead two minutes later on the 17-yard pass to Austin Carpenter. The Indians would extend there lead to 14-6 on Austin Carpenters' second touchdown of the quarter with 1:13 left in the quarter. The Eagles would get the game to 14-12 at 3:38 of the second quarter on the Jalen Belrose 33 yard reception. The Eagles would regain the lead at the 8:41 on Jalen Belrose third touchdown of the first half and make it 18-14. The game would stay there till 8 seconds into the 4th quarter when the Eagles extend there lead to 25-14 on Willam Colvard 30 yard reception. The Eagles would score again at 9:15 on Jalen Belrose 13 yard run for his fourth score of the game to make it 32-14. Although the Indians would keep fighting and make it 34-21 on a 5-yard pass to Robert Reynolds. With the 32-21 win, the Beekmantown Eagles go to 4-0 while the Peru Indians fall to 2-2 on the season. Saranac's Jacob Nolan (13) with the hard shoulder tackle on Au Sable Valley's Evan Snow (2) for the sack. It would be week four of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and would feature Au Sable Valley Patriots and the Saranac Chiefs. The game would take time to get going but eventually, the Chiefs would take the 7-0 lead on Connor Recore's 2-yard pass at 10:52 of the second quarter. The game would stay there till the second half when Au Sable's Evan Snow gets the 2 yard TD run to make it 7-6. Although the Chiefs would answer right back on the next drive on a 50-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Nolan to make it 13-6 at 6:14 of the third quarter. Then at the 10:05 mark of the quarter, the Chiefs would extend the lead to 21-6 on the 65 yard pass to Connor Recore, Then in the closing seconds of the third, the Chiefs would put the game away on Jacob Nolan's 15-yard TD pass to secure the 27-6 victory. With the win, the Saranac Chiefs go to 3-1 while the Au Sable Valley Patriots fall to 0-4 on the season. Gallery.

Peru's Austin Carpenter(5) with the pass breakup on Plattsburgh's Zack Bieber (88) to save the touchdown. It would be week 3 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference between cross town rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Indians. It would be a hard hitting game from the start and it would take til the second quarter for the first score of the game. In that first score the Peru Indians would take the 7-0 lead on the Kasen Brennan 6 yard score at the 6:25. Although the Hornets would answer back on a 30 yard pass to Tyler Phillips to tie the game at seven. Then in the closing seconds of the half the Hornets would add a 30 yard field goal from Liam Rascoe for the 10-7 lead at intermission. At the 8:42 mark of the third quarter the Hornets would extend there lead to 17-7 on the Tyler Phillips score. Although the Indians would keep fighting and get a late score from Alex Palmer. Although it would not be enough as the Hornets get the 17-13 victory. With the win the Hornets go to 3-0 as they head to Moriah next week. While the Peru Indians fall to 2-1 and head to Beekmentown next weekend. Gallery.

Josh Douglas from Team St. John with the behind the head catch for the toutchdown to tie the game. It would be week three of the Plattsburgh Outdoor Flag Football League featuring Team Livsey and Team St. John. In the first half it was a defensive battle as Team St. John would have the 7-0 lead. In the second half the offenses would come alive as Team Livsey would win the half 21-14 but that would just mean there headed to overtime. In that overtime Team St. John would score and get the 27-21 victory. In the winning effort Team St. John goes to 2-1 while Team Livsey falls to 0-3 on the season Gallery.

Saranac's Jacob Nolan (13) with the catch along the sidelines for the first down as part of a three touchdown day. It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletiec Conference football season and we would have the Saranac Chiefs Vs the Saranac Lake Red Storm. It would be a game that Chiefs had in control from the start. As Luke Maye would score twice while Jacob Nalon would have three and James Conway would get one as the Chiefs cruise to 44-0 victory. In the winning effort the Chiefs go to 2-0 while the Red Storm fall to 0-2 on the season. Gallery.

Cam Gadue (23) and Dave Demore (86) battle for the lead during the Mini-Modified second feature of the night. It would be the Dirtcar Pro Stock Series presented by Garrand Motorsports. It would be a great race with close battles throughout. Although when the night was done C.D. Beauchamp would win the Pro Stock Series 50. Other winners on the night would be Chris Frennier Sportsman Modified, Mini-Modifieds Josh Laporte, and Dave Demore and in the Strictly Stock, it would be Caleb Tourville and Shawn Walker.

Plattsburgh's Andrew Swiesz (40) with the crunching hit on Ausable Valley's (2) as he releases the ball on the pass attempt. It would be week 2 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and it would feature the Ausable Valley Patriots and the Plattsburgh Hornets. The Horners would get the opening score of the game on a run by Lestyn Williams for the 7-0 lead at 3:52 of the first quarter. The game would be a very defensive game and the game would stay there all the way through the first half. When the teams would come back for the third quarter the Patriots would finally get on the board on a 63-yard pass to Louie Perez although they would miss the extra point and the Hornets would keep a 7-6 advantage. The game would stay there till the final three minutes of the game when the Hornets would expand there lead to 14-6 on a four-yard run by Lestyn Williams and secure the victory. In the winning effort, the Hornets go to 2-0 while the Patriots fall to 0-2 on the season. Next will the Horners will be at home as they host the Peru Indians and the Patriots will travel and take on the Saranac Lake Red Strom. Gallery.

Peru's Austin Carpenter (5) crunches with the Ticonderoga defender along the sidelines fighting for the extra yardage. It would be the opening week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and the last game of the week would feature the Peru Indians and the Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Indians wouldn't take long to jump out to the lead as they would strike with a 71-yard pass to Austin Carpenter 2:06 into the game for the 7-0 lead. On the next defense drive, they would block the punt for a safety and have a 9-0 lead. Then at the 7:41 mark of the first quarter, they would add a 2 yard run from Brayden Miner for the 15-0 lead. Right off in the second quarter, they would score on an 18-yard pass to Austin Carpenter for the 22-0 lead. Then at 4:45 mark of the quarter, they would score on a Kasen Brennan 17 yard touchdown pass for the 28-0 lead at the break. In the second the Indians wouldn't let up as they would score three more times for the 48-0 victory. With the victory, the Indians start there season at 1-0 while the Sentinels fall to 0-1 on the season. Gallery.

Steve Bernier (25) and Danny Gange (90) go side by side as they battle for second place during the 358 Modified Feature, It would be week 14 at Airborne Park Speedway which would be the Labor Day Special Presented by Egglefield Ford and the last points night for the 358 Modified and the Sportsman Modified. It would be a good night of racing at the Big A with many battles on track and tempers flaring up a couple of times. Although when the dust settled in the 358 Modifieds Steve Bernier would win the race and be crowned the 2018 Track Champion. While in the rest of the racing Jeremy Roy would win the Sportsman Modified race and Nick Heywood would be crowned track champion. While in the Super Stock they would have double feature and Tylor Terry and Michael Wright would get the win. In the Mini-Modifieds Shawn Moquin and Shawn Walker wins the Strictly Stock.
