The annual demolition derby returned to the Franklin County Fair in Malone, NY in front of another packed grandstand. There would be 90 cars that would take part in the second night of derby action. It was a bad day at office for the blue #23 car as it would start folding up on itself during the second heat. Gallery

Airborne Speedway/Hockey Padres Shane Perrotte (2) slides in safe at second base with a stolen base. n game one of the three-game series with the Meron's Expos the Padres would come up short 10-3. It would be a close game until the late innings when the Expos bats would wake up and score 6 runs in the seventh inning to secure the victory.

Airborne Speedway/Hockey Plus Padres Matt Rivers (88) lays out fully extended for the diving catch in left field to take away a sure hit from the Fourth Ward Athletics. The Airborne Speedway/Hockey Plus Padres would go for the 25-3 victory and will advance to next week's semifinal contest against the Meron's Expos. The game would be tight at 5-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning when the Padres would explode for 12 runs and then would go on to add another 8 runs in the last two innings for the convincing victory.
