Malone Huskies Vs Salmon River Shamrocks September 9 2013
Malone's Austin LaMay (1) leaps to stop the shot headed for the top corner to preserve the shutout. The Malone Huskies would start the home portion of there season against rival Salmon River Shamrocks. It would be a very tightly contested game with many scoring chances on both sides. Although the Huskies would get lone goal in the 27th minute from Ieses Paranodes with the assist going to Alex Johnson. In the winning effort, Austin Lamay would have 11 saves for the shutout. Chateaugay's Devin Willis (21) with the header in the middle of all the traffic to keep the ball in the attack area. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Edwards-Knox Cougars in the quarterfinals on the section x boys soccer tournament. The Bulldogs would get the 1-0 lead within the first five minutes of the game on the Chad Slater goal. The Cougars would get the equalizer in the 38th minute to make 1-1. That is where the score would remain throughout the rest of the regulation. The game would extra time to resolve it and that's were Bulldogs would get the game-winner from Chad Slater on a mad scramble in front of the net. The Chateaugay Bulldogs celebrate as they get the game-winner in overtime to advance to the sectional semi-finals. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Edwards-Knox Cougars in the quarterfinals on the section x boys soccer tournament. The Huskies would strike again in the 53rd minute on Isai Pardone's goal to make it 2-0 huskies. The golden bears would try and make a come back as they would score in the 75th minute on the Jake Watson goal to make it 2-1. That is where the game would stay as the Huskies would get the 2-1 win.
