The Beekmantown Eagles will be back in action at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena this Friday evening as they leave the section. The host was the Malone Huskies from Section X. The game would start well for the home Eagles as they would get the game's opening goals, which made it a 1-0 game at the 7:14 mark of the first period. The Huskies would keep fighting and get the tying goal at the 11:40 mark of the period on the goal from Parker Russell. Although with just under two minutes left in the period, the Eagles could regain the lead at 2-1 when Parker Pryce would light a lamp, and that's how they would head into the first intermission. When the teams would return for the second period, the Huskies would waste little time tying the game up again, this time from Tristan Russell at the 3:16 mark. The game would stay there till the 14:00 mark of the period. Novak Jarus would get his second goal 3-2 lead at the end of the second period. When we returned for the third, the Huskies would fight and tie the game up again for the third time in the evening, with Jake Kaska's goal at the 3:41 mark of the third period. The Eagle would ming and retake the lead, this time at 4-3, on the Mason Carter goal. And t, and in the closing seconds of the game, Novak Jarus added his third goal on the empty netter to secure the 5-3 win. With the win, the Eagles would go to 8-4-1 on the season. They are back in action tomorrow against Bellows Falls. It would be the biggest rivalry in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys' hockey as it would be the first meeting of the year between the #10 Saranac Spartans and the Beekmantown Eagles from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena in what might be the first of three meetings on the season as they have to meet for the title in 3 out of the last 4 year season. It would be a very physically hard-hitting game from the start as both teams were trying to show they were the dominant team on this day. Both teams would have their chances, but there would be no scoring in the first period. The Eagles would break and get the game's opening goal on the shorthand at the 11:36 mark of the period when Mason Carter would light the lamp and make it a 1-0 game in what would be the period's lone goal. The Spartans would keep coming and get the tying goal just 4:23 into the third period on the Jackson Coryer goal. The Eagles would return and get the lead again when Novak Jarus beat Shawn McLane at 11:29 to regain the lead at 2-1. Then, in the game's final minute, Edward Sweenor would add the empty netter to put the icing on the cake in the 3-1 victory. In the winning effort for the Eagles, they will go to 7-4-1 on the season as Jack Bell makes 31 saves in the win as they head into their nonleague game Friday against the Malone Huskies. As for the Spartans, they will look to get back on the winning way as they will play #3 Ogdensburg Blue Devils on Saturday. Saranac's Landon Giroux (17) and Churchville Chili's Benjamin Kanellis (19) meet the minds as they go after the loose puck in the zone. It would be the second game of the weekend for the #10 Saranac Spartans on their road trip to the Finger Lakes region of New York State as they would take on the Churchville Chili Saints from the Scottsville Ice Arena. The hometown saints would get the lone goal of the first period at the 4:15 mark of the period on the wrister from Anthony Indiano to make it a 1-0 game, and that's where the first period would end. The second period would start well for the road-traveled Spatans as they would tie the game one on Ryan Campbell's goal at 2:59. Then, just under two minutes later, the Spartans would lead the game on the breakaway goal from Gabe Moo. TWith20 seconds left in the period, the Saints would answer back and tie the game at two on the Grayson Galliford. But that's not where the period would end as the Spartans would retake the lead at 3-2 off the issuing faceoff when Ryan Campbel would bring it down and snip it by before time expires. Then, in the third period, the Spartans would get the needed two-goal lead when Deacon Giroux found the net for the first time in his career at the 8:12 mark of the period, and from there, the defense would put the Saints in check, and get the 4-2 victory In the winning effort for the Spartans, they will go to 8-2-1 on the season as they head into their big rivalry game on Tuesday against the Beekmantown Eagles. As for the Churchville Chili Saints, they will lose their second on the weekend and go to 5-8 on the year as they will play Pitsford on Tuesday in their next game. Gallery

Saranac's Adrian Barnes (8) with his second goal of the night on the scramble in front of the net. It would be NYSPHSA Boy's Hockey from the IRA Wilson Arena on the campus of SUNY Geneseo. It would see the #10 Saranac Spartans travel and take on the Livingston Lakers to start their road weekend to Section V. The game would start well for the home Lakers as they would get the game's opening goal at the 7:53 mark of the period. The Spartans would come back and tie the game up at the 11:17 mark of the period when Adrian Barnes would score. At the 14:30 mark of the period, the traveling Spartans would take the 2-1 lead on the Noah Miner goal. Then, to finish the period with 23 seconds left, the Spartans would strike again for their goal in five minutes, and the second one for Adrian Barnes as the period would end at 3-1. When the teams returned for the second period, the Spartans would waste little time making it a 4-1 lead as Adrian Banes would complete the hat trick. Then the Lakers would come back and score two goals in 12 seconds to make it a 4-3 game. Then, with under 5 minutes left in the period, they would complete the comeback and tie the game at four The,n just 1:45 into the third period; the Lakers would take the lead back to 5-4 and be able to extend the lead to 6-4 with just over 12 minutes left in the game. The Spartans would keep fighting and make it a 1 goal game again at the 9:08 mark on the Ryan Campbell short-handed goal. Then, with 1:49 left in the game, the Spartans would tie the game at six on the Gab Moore rebound goal, and that's where regulation would end. In the overtime, the Spartans would get the game-winner on the Ashtyn Catlin powerplay goal as the Spartans got the 7-6 win. In the winning effort, the Spartans go to 5-2-1 on the season as Sean Mclane makes 17 saves, and they will be right back in action as they take on Churchville Chilli to finish off the weekend tri-ass for the Laker; they fall to 2-8-1 on the season and will be playing Brighton tomorrow finish off there weekend set. We would have Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Hockey, and for the second time in a week, the Saranac Lake Placid Lakers would come to Plattsburgh and the Ameri-can Sports Center as they would take on the Plattsburgh Hornets. The Hornets would get on the board at the 10:45 mark of the first period on the Chase Laravia goal to make it a 1-0 game. Then, about 90 seconds later, the Hornets would expand their lead to 2-0 on the Lucas Dashnaw goal, and that's where the first period would end. The game would stay there till the third period, as there would be no scoring in the second period. In the third period, the Hornets would make it a 3-0 game at the 11:12 mark on the Braeden Calkins. The Lakers would get on the board with just under two minutes left in the game on the Ayden McCormick goal to make it a two-goal game again at 3-1. The Hornets would finish the game in the final minute on the empty netter from Braeden CalkCalkins'l to secure the 4-1 win. With the win, the Plattsburgh Hornets go to 2-4-1 on the season as they head into their tournament in Albany next weekend.
