Plattsburgh's Jake Remillard (10) and Dan O'Meara (18) with the crushing tackle on the Glens Falls Brenden Frye (12). The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel down to Glens Falls and take on the Greenjackets. The North Stars would take the quick 7-0 lead when Dexter Geohagan would run back the opening kickoff. Then they would strike again on there next drive on a long Touchdown pass to Dexter Geohagan to make it 14-0. Then the remainder of the first half the Greenjackets would charge back getting 10 points to make it 14-10 North Stars at intermission. When the teams would return for the second half the North Stars would extend there lead to 20-10 on Chris Fish's touchdown. The North Stars would strike again on Dexter Geohagan's third touchdown of the night to make it 26-10. The Greenjackets would do there best to try and get the win at the end scoring twice but the North Stars would hold on for 26-24 victory. With the win, the North Stars will go to 5-3 on the season with their regular-season finale against the Watertown Red & Black. Gallery

Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Clinton County Fair Truck/Tractor Pull July 20 2013

Red Dog Too and Chris Bullriss skips the front wheels down the track as he takes out to 316 feet and comes home in 2nd place during the Super Farm class. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers would return for the annual pull at the Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh. The pull would happen in front of a packed house and they would witness a great show. There would be just under 100 entries divided into 20 classes. There would be lots of runs throughout the night that would keep the crowd on the edge of there seats. The tour will move onto Highgate, Vermont in a couple of weeks at the Franklin County Field Days. Gallery

Wild Thing and Dwayne News is on a straight shot down the track during 6,200lb Pro Stock 4x4 Trucks B Class where he went 298 feet and took fourth place. The Adirondack Truck and Tractor Pullers would return for the annual pull at the Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh. The pull would happen in front of a packed house and they would witness a great show. There would be just under 100 entries divided into 20 classes. There would be lots of runs throughout the night that would keep the crowd on the edge of there seats. Adirondack Truck Tractor Pullers: Clinton County Fair Street Truck Pull July 19 2013

RJ Smith and his 2007 GMC Sierra are making a power pass during the 2.6 Cheater Truck class and goes past the 300-foot mark. It was that time of year again the Street Truck Pull at the Clinton County Fair brought to you by the Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers. There would be around 80 entries that would be divided into seven classes all the way from the stock truck to the mighty 2.6 Cheater Trucks. There would be many good runs throughout the night and very minimal damage. One of the exciting moments that happened had to be the hard rainstorm that came and dropped at least an inch of water in a matter of minutes. The pull would be halted for about an hour they would rip the track and back pulling we would go. Congratulations to all the different winners throughout the night and for a great show for everyone.. Jack Chamberlain and his 2010 Toyota Tundra take it down the track chewing up the loose dirt from the rain earlier and sending it skyward. It was that time of year again the Street Truck Pull at the Clinton County Fair brought to you by the Adirondack Truck & Tractor Pullers. Padres' Mark Eggleston (1) tries to block the plate from Athletics Oswald looking to score and climbs over him for the run. The Padres would take on the Fourth Ward Athletics in the 1st round of the Champlain Valley Baseball League. The game would be a pitchers duel as the Athletics would get the lone run in the game in the fourth inning for the win. For the Athletics Brain Burns would go the distance for the complete-game shutout win while giving up 4 hits. In just as good a game Padres Frank Brogna would get the complete game 6 hits on and one run. With the Athletics win, they will take the Lyon Mountain Miners in the semi-finals. Gallery

Empire Football League Week 2: Plattsburgh North Stars @ Vermont Ice Storm July 13 2013

Plattsburgh's Josh Nephew (32) lowers the head and breaks the tackle for the touchdown from the two-yard line. The Plattsburgh North Stars came into Burlington looking to get there Empire Football League of the right track against rival Vermont Ice Storm. The North Stars would stat of with a pick by Brandon St. John that he would take inside the 10 where the Stars would score and take a 6-0 lead. The North Stars would score twice more before the quarter ended to have a 20-0 lead including the long Brett Boyer touchdown. The Stars would score once in the second quarter to take a 27-0 lead at halftime. Then in the second half, the North Stars would finish the beating with three more scores to get the 49-0 victory. With the win, the North Stars go to 1-1 and 1-0 in the league. The North Stars start the home portion of there season next week against the Glens Falls Green Jackets in the Mayors Cup game. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Stars came into Burlington looking to get there Empire Football League of the right track against rival Vermont Ice Storm. The North Stars would start off with a pick by Brandon St. John that he would take inside the 10 where the Stars would score and take a 6-0 lead. The North Stars would score twice more before the quarter ended to have a 20-0 lead including the long Brett Boyer touchdown. The Stars would score once in the second quarter to take a 27-0 lead at halftime. Then in the second half, the North Stars would finish the beating with three more scores to get the 49-0 victory. With the win, the North Stars go to 1-1 and 1-0 in the league. The North Stars start the home portion of there season next week against the Glens Falls Green Jackets in the Mayors Cup game. Gallery

Champlain Valley Baseball League Peabody Padres @ Lyon Mountain Miners July 7 2013

Peabody's Matt Hart (15) with the pick at third down the line and fires across to complete the out. he Peabody Padres would travel to Lyon Mountain and have a doubleheader with the Miners to finish off the regular season of the CVBL season. The first game would go the way of the Miners as they would get the 4-0 win. The runs would come in the first and fifth as they would get two runs in each inning. In the winning effort for the Miners, Dave Waldron would go the distance to get the shutout victory while giving up just four hits. In the second game, it would be called after the fourth inning with the score tied at zero. The game will not be resumed as it makes no difference in the standings. With the playoffs starting next week the Miners will get a first-round bye with the regular-season title. The Padres will take on the A's in the 4/5 game in Plattsburgh. Gallery
