Section 7 Class C Championship #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm Vs #3 Ausable Valley Patriots November 1 2014

The #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet up with the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in the Section 7 Football championships. The Red Storm would make easy work of the Patriots in the first half and take a 35-7 lead into the locker room. In the second half the Patriots would try there best to make a game of it but the defecit would be to big to overcome they would win the half at 16-7 but would fall 42-23. With the win the Red Storm head into the New York State Class C Playoffs against Ogdensburg while the Patriots season comes to an end at 2-7. Gallery

The #2 Saranac Chiefs would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class C Semi-finals. These two evenly matched teams would be scoreless until the second quarter when Patriots Jimmy Kelly would score to make it 7-0 Patriots. The game would stay there until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter when Chiefs Mason Martin would score and they would get the two point conversation and take a 8-7 lead. Then on the ensuing Patriots drive two questionable calls would lead to the Patriots good field position and Jimmy Kelly would score from the one yard line with 25 seconds left on the clock to give the Patriots 14-8 victory. In the winning effort the Patriots advance to next weeks championship game against Saranac Lake Chiefs while the Saranac Chiefs season comes to end at 2-6. Gallery

#2 Saranac Chiefs Vs #3 Ausable Valley Patriots October 25 2014
Saranac's Mason Martin (42) extends the ball out and over the line for the touchdown. The #2 Saranac Chiefs would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class C Semi-finals. These two evenly matched teams would be scoreless until the second quarter when Patriots Jimmy Kelly would score to make it 7-0 Patriots. The Patriots would take the 6-0 lead after the first quarter and hold on till late in the second quarter when the Chiefs would get on the board with a Johnny Devins touchdown to tie it at 6 at halftime. When the teams would come back for the second the Patriots would come to play and score three scores to make it 28-6. In the fourth quarter, the teams would trade sores including the big catch in the endzone by Saranac's Brandon Velie for the score as he rips it from the defender's hand. In the end, though the Patriots would get the 34-12 victory and finish the undefeated season at 8-0 while the Chiefs finish at 0-8. Gallery

Saranac Chiefs Vs #17 Peru Indians October 18th 2014

The Saranac Chiefs would host the Peru Indians in Week 7 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Indians offense would be in form as they would take the 14-0 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter it would be more of the same as they would extend the lead to 29-0. In the second half it would be more of the same as they would outscore them 22-0 and get the 51-0 win. Saranac's Caiden Goodman (2) with the touchdown after he catches the tip in the end zone. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in the first-ever Saranac River Bowl. The Hornets would take the 6-0 lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter. The score would stay there till the third quarter when the Hornets would get a second rushing touchdown to make it 12-0. Then later in the third quarter, the Chiefs would get on the board on a Hunter Church touchdown to make it 12-6. Then with about four minutes left in the game Caiden Goodman would catch a tipped ball in the end zone and tie the game up at 12. Then after a very short punt by the Hornets, the Chiefs would get the ball back and George Miller would take it up the middle for the winning touchdown with under a minute for the 20-12 victory. In the winning effort, the Chiefs would improve there record 2-4 while the Hornets fall to 0-6 on the season. Gallery
