In the second half Eagles would do there best to come back as they win the half 53-39. Although it would not be enough as the Cardinals hold on for the 90-83 victory. In the winning effort, Brandon Johnson would lead the way with 16 points as the Cardinals go to 11-4 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Anna Thompson (3) with the runner in the lane for the basket as part of a six-point night. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would start the 2018 portion of the schedule with a home conference game against the Geneseo Knights. It would be a tight start to the game as the Cardinals trail 25-23 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Knights would extend there lead slightly as they would win the quarter 14-11 and have a 39-34 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would a defensive battle as the Knights would win the quarter 8-5 and have a 47-39 lead after the third. In the fourth quarter, the Knights would win the quarter slightly again 24-21 as the Cardinals would fall 71-60. In the losing effort, Taylor Durnin would lead the way with 19 points as they fall to 5-10 season. Gallery

The Cardinals would hold a tight lead over Geneseo State at the end of the first half at 32-27. When the teams returned for the second half the offenses would step and the Cardinals win the second half slightly 47-46 and secure the 79-73 victory. It would be the battle of Cardinals as Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host Wesleyan. Plattsburgh State would get off to a good start as they would score three goals in the first period from Rich McCartney, Liam Lawson, and Ross Sloan. When the teams returned for the second period Plattsburgh State would continue as they scored twice more from Matt Quilty and Mike Falanga as they would have a 5-1 lead. In the third period, Plattsburgh State would finish it off as they would get two more goals Aryton Valente and Cole Stallard to secure the 7-2 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Babson Beavers in the finals of the 2018 WB Mason Winter Classic. The Cardinals would strike first with the opening goal 11 minutes into the first period from Cole Stallard. The Cardinals would extend the lead 2 minutes into the second period on the Rich McCartney goal to make it 2-0. The game would stay there till the 7-minute mark of the third period when Rich McCartney would get his second goal of the night to make it 3-0. The Beavers would get on the broad with 5 minutes left in the third on a Patrick Flynn goal to make it 3-1. Then with under two minutes left the Cardinals would add an empty netter from Greg Malafronte to secure the 4-1 victory. Mason Winter Classic featuring the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Tufts Elephants. The game would remain scoreless until the 2:55 mark of the second period when Matt Quality would open up the scoring. Then just 47 seconds later the Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Andrew Pizzio goal. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would strike again on Antoine Desnoyers's goal to make it 3-0. Then with 19 seconds left the Cardinals would make it 4-0 on Ross Sloan's goal. Then four minutes into the third period Anthony Fournier-Gosselin would score to secure the 5-0 victory. Bat Co. Vs North Country Auto Glass Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football League December 10th 2017

Bat Co.'s Foster Ebersole with the sliding catch along the sidelines for the first down. It would be the week of the Plattsburgh Recreation Indoor Flag Football League and it would feature Bat Co. against North Country Auto Glass. It would be a game that North Country Auto Glass would control with ease as they would have a 21-0 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half Bat Co would try and keep it interesting but North Country Auto Glass would be too much as they would win the half 20-15 and secure the 41-15 victory. With the win North Country Auto Glass goes to 4-1 while Bat Co. falls to 2-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Noah Batis (17) takes the shot on net from a knee. It would be a rivalry game of the season as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host #4 Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC play. The Lakers would get the opening goal of the game at 8:20 of the first period from Michael Gillespie. The game would stay there until the 7:48 mark of the second period when the Lakers would score on the power play thanks to Mitch Emerson to make it 2-0. Then at the 15:38 mark, the Lakers would score twice in 23 seconds from Joseph Molinaro and Mitch Herlihey to make it 4-0. The Lakers would add another one at 3:44 of the third period to make it 5-0 from Cameron Berry. Then the Cardinals would do there best to make a game of it as Phillip Middleton would make it 5-1 at 9:18 of the third period. Then at 13:13 Jesse Neher would strike to make it a 5-2 game. As that would be all as the Oswego State Lakers would hold on for the 5-2 victory. In the losing effort Jimmy Poreda would make 29 saves as the Cardinals fall to 5-7 on the season. Gallery

The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Trinity Bantams in nonconference hockey action. This would be a even game for the most part. The Cardinals would finally break the ice in the scoring department at 9:24 of the third period when Ashley Songin would score to make it 1-0 Cardinals. Then at the 12:02 mark of the third period, the Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Melissa Sheeran's goal. Then in the final minute of the game, the Cardinals would add an empty-net goal from Megan Kraus to secure the 3-0 victory. In the winning effort, Kassi Abbott would make all 22 saves in the shutout victory as the Cardinals go to 9-2 on the season. Gallery

In a very physical game, the Red Dragons would get the opening goal of the contest with 3 seconds left in the first period from Alex Storjohann. The game would stay there till 8:34 of the second period when Phillip Middleton would tie up on the rebound goal. The Cardinals would take the lead 22 seconds into the third period on the Cam Owens goal. The Cardinals would add another goal at 16:12 from Mike Falanga to make it a 3-1 game. In securing the 3-1 victory the Cardinals go to 5-6 on the season as Jimmy Peroda makes 20 saves on the night. Gallery
