The undefeated #16 Plattsburgh North Stars traveled over to Watertown to take on the Watertown Red and Black in a game that could be a preview of the EFL Championship in mid-October. The Red and Black came in looking to avenge their loss last week to Quebec. In a game that was high in intensity and hard-hitting. It would be the Red and Black that would come away with the 21-0 win and now tied at the top EFL standings with the North Stars at 6-1. The Plattsburgh North Stars would head across the lake this week to take on long time rival the Vermont Ice Storm at the Burlington High School. It would defensive game on both sides as it was tied at zero going into the 4th quarter. Then the North Star offense would respond as they would cruise to a 21-0 win over the Ice Storm and stay perfect on the season. The Plattsburgh North Stars would start off their Empire League season with a well-fought victory over the Broome County Dragons 21-13 in a game that they never trailed in. The North Stars would use a stellar performance by the defense for the victory along with a good attack on the ground from Brandon Keleher has he would rush for over 100 yards on the day. The North Stars will be traveling to Vermont on July 18th to take on defending league champion the Vermont Ice Storm at 1:00 pm at South Burlington High School. The North Star's would continue there winning ways as they handily defeated the Ravens 25-7 to improve to 2-0. The Plattsburgh North Star's started off their 2009 season by traveling down to Manchester Center, VT to lock horns with the Southern Vermont Storm. In a game that would remain scoreless until the 4th quarter and would see the North Star's pro vail with 12-7 win over a very scrappy Southern Vermont Storm squad. The North Stars will be back in action on June 27th against the Vermont Ravens at the Plattsburgh High Athletic Complex kickoff is 7:30.
