The Cadets would get the quick opening goal as Sophie McGovern would score 29 seconds into the game. The Cardinals return fire and score two goals just over a minute apart at the four-minute mark from Kayla Meneghien and Courtney Moriarty for the 2-1 lead. Then at the 10:11 mark, the Cadets would double there lead on the Bryn Labbe goal. The Cardinals would keep fighting and would get a goal late from Kayla Meneghien's second goal of the night.
