The Vermont Catamounts would host the Northeastern Huskies in nonconference action. The game would be right where it started at the half as the teams were tied at 29 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Catamounts would take control of the game and at one point have a 13 point lead although the Huskies would not go away and would get it down to five points as Vermont would win the half 46-41 and secure the 75-70 victory.
