It would be the start of the season for both the Saranac Chiefs as they would host the Malone Huskies. The game would start off good for the Chiefs as Nolan Knight would get the first goal two minutes into the game. The game would stay there till the 12-minute mark of the period when Chiefs Austin Carpenter would strike to make it a 2-0 game. Although Carpenter wouldn't stop there as he would strike again in the final minute of the period to make it 3-0. The game would stay there through the second period as there was no scoring. As the third period would start the Chiefs would add another one 31 seconds on the Zack O'Connell goal for the 4-0 lead. From there the Chiefs would shut the Huskies down and secure the 4-0 victory.
